It was just an every day early morning for Y/N. Clock in. Review assignments. Get started. It was barely the start of the morning. While Beacontown was quiet and asleep, Y/N was up and out even as the stars gently gleamed in the sky, fading away as the pink and orange shades from the east overpowered them. The wind was gentle and soft as Y/N walked the same familiar road to the Writers Hall. There was something about Beacontown being so quiet that made Y/N feel content almost. Seeing the empty roads and the soft glow of the sun gently peak up was always nice to see. A time where the streets remained peaceful and not as bustling as the later times in the day. But nothing was more exciting to see than the Writers Hall, where Y/N worked close with the owner and head of the Writers Hall, Lukas.

Y/N's job was rather important to them.. As the head of the Writers Hall assistant, Y/N took their job seriously. This lead to them clocking in early in the morning just to get work done faster and see Lukas early. Y/N over the two years of being Lukas' assistant grew closer with Lukas as they worked with one another. Lukas, to Y/N, was their best friend. While jessie was still Lukas' closest and dearest friend, Y/N was still a cherished friend for him. Although Y/N had no romantic history, every time they saw Lukas recently, their stomach would grow butterflies and their heart would almost feel electric. Y/N has been denying this for a long while now, but its always in the back of their mind, even when they try to push it down.. Y/N never acted upon their feelings since it would damage not only the stability of their job, but possibly their friendship with Lukas if he didn't feel the same way. Y/N would never dare risk such things that they held close and dear; so as the days flew by, Y/N hid their ever growing desire to accept and face their feelings twoards Lukas.

Beacontowns Writers hall was large and held most if not all of Beacontowns history. Yet as big as it was, it was rather cozy inside and felt like a second home to Y/N. The room revealed by the front door had a cool, yet inviting feel to them. The stone brick and plank walls were lined at the bottom with different arrays of potted leaf blocks and multiple doors. It was a lobby room, with a desk in the middle and two doors side by side to it with chairs strewn around the room. The receptionist worker wouldn't come until another hour later when the building opened. As they walked into the building like it was a second home, Y/N walked into the left door, leading them into a hallway of offices. Y/N walked into the hallway with a bright and serene face, ready for the normality of the routine them and Lukas had everyday. As they walked, out of the corner of their eye, Y/N noticed Lukas' office door was ajar.

"Strange" Y/N thought aloud. Lukas never left his door open, even in emergencies Lukas always politely closes doors.. Lukas was always a well kept person, someone who values the organization and perfection in life. Everyone always joked he had OCD because of his obsession to be well organized and clean kept. So seeing Lukas' door open randomly was odd to say the least..

"It must have been the janitor." Y/N said to themselves as they sighed and walked up to close the door before Lukas clocked in. The sun was barely peaking over the sky as the small rays flushing in illuminated the hallway gently from the windows. But as Y/N walked closer, the subltle sunlight was flushed out by a more concentrated light source coming from the crack in Lukas' door.

"Not even the janitors would allow an unattended open flame.." Y/N said to themselves in a now more concerning tone. If a fire were to start in the Writers Hall, who knows how much history Beacontown would loose. With so many flammable items in the Hall, it is sure to go up in flames quickly if even one paper was caught ablaze.

Now even more confused, Y/N hesitated to open the door for a slight moment.. But gently grasped the copper doorknob and pulled it back all the way open. The room was a mess. Papers everywhere, files stacked on one another, and Lukas was barely visible as he lay his head on his desk. The light source was his dimly lit lantern, seemingly about to run out of fuel as it gently balanced on top of a stack of paper. Lukas had his head rested on his arms as he leaned on paper that was newly written in by ink.
