The next morning, it took a while to get ready for school as Wes didn't want Willa and I to leave, but after finally convincing him with a Froyo date afterwards, we managed to get to school in time before we were late.
The wolves were overly cautious with the new arrival of the aliens, and to be honest who can blame us? Even I knew they were up to something and I didn't like the feeling one bit and now that Willa has developed a sense of jealousy over A-spen, the tension between the wolves and the Aliens are even higher.
It was later during the day after our first two classes when Willa, Wynter, Wyatt and some of the wolves and I had a free period. We were headed towards the library when Wynter cracked a joke making all of us laugh out loud when suddenly, Willa stopped us on the staircase and stared at the approaching aliens warily.
"There's no way they came across the galaxy just to cheer. Why are they really here?" Willa scoffed walking off the last step and stood directly in front of the three aliens and I grabbed her arm to calm her down.
Suddenly Wynter hissed at them with her claws drawn out causing her eyes to turn yellow as the aliens jumped back in fear.
"Better watch your step". My sister warned looking them up and down.
"We will watch our step. Thank you for the warning". A-spen smiled warmly making me look at her weirdly.
"Smile". A-li beamed holding up a transparent oval lens towards our faces and I looked at it confused.
"How cool, an alien camera". Wyatt smiled looking at the lens.
"No fleas". Wynter posed just as a bright flash went off making me loose sight for a split second and I blinked my eyes furiously to gain back my vision before looking at Willa confused.
A-li looked back at her two friends with a smile before the aliens walked off making us turn back to look at them.
"Whoa. What just happened?" Wynter questioned confused as we watched the aliens walk down the hall and I gave Willa a skeptical look that she mirrored.
Half an hour later, I was sitting at the table in the library with Addison, copying down her answers to the chemistry homework when Bucky ran in.
"Addison, you can't help those invaders". He scoffed making the cheerleader look up at him and sigh.
"Back off, Bucky". Willa commented, emerging from the bookshelf behind him and walked up to the table.
"Your cousin's the cheer captain now. Not you". She stated making him roll his eyes.
"Thanks, Willa". Addison smiled and she turned to look at her.
"But Bucky is right". She added making me snort.
"That's a first". I mumbled turning the page of my text book.
"I'm right?" He asked leaning towards my mate and she turned to look at him and he straightened up before looking back at Addison.
"Yes, of course I'm right". He scoffed and I looked up at him with narrowed eyes.
"A little right". Willa interrupted him before looking at Addison.
"We don't trust the aliens, Addison." Willa commented and I took my feet off the table before sitting up straight.
"Last time outsiders swooped into Seabrook, our Moonstone was stolen. And this time, we might lose our shot of getting into Mountain College". I added.
"Which is why, we need to protect what's ours." Bucky commented making us look at him.
"The Seabrook cup, my legacy. Me, in general". He added and I rolled my eyes as Willa looked at him weirdly.
