Taming The Untamable [𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠]

Chapter 10

Gone. Sonic stuck in his room for how long now, his demons were gone. He hadn't heard from them in so long ever since the collar stuck onto him.

Life had just gotten easier, somewhat. Though his time with Shadow was coming to an end, and he'd have to go back to rehabilitation if he fails the test.

THE TEST is a paper exam that the rehabilitee must take to determine if the person that is in rehabilitation is safe enough to be let out into the world, or be kept in rehabilitation. It's a priority to have all persons perform this test to keep the people of Mobius safe.

It was... effective so say the least. A lot of the captives that did the test either got set free or stayed. Knuckles was one of them, he got let out only 2 weeks after we was let in.

"Sonic." Shadow called out to him from outside the room, opening the door slightly, his voice lacked the hatred he once felt for the hedgehog. The azure hedgehog looked at him from his bed, who was fiddling with a plastic tube and twirling it in his hand. "...Food's ready." Shadow added and then left Sonic alone.

Sonic got up once he left, and sighed, glancing at the collar around his neck. He got up and touched the blue collar on his neck and then walked out.

Rouge and Shadow greeted him, and he greeted them back as he sat down at the table. Shadow, like usual picked up some coffee beans and plopped them into his mouth and chewing on them, making Sonic squint his eyes in slight disgust. "I'll never get used to that."

"You don't have to, cause in a few weeks you'll have to go through the test." Rouge replied as she began to leave. "I don't doubt you'll fail with that on you, blue." She added and pointed at the collar on his neck.  

"Effective and stylish, I suppose." Sonic said with confidence but all three of them know he's just masking the nervousness he feels that in just a few days, he'll be judged by test scores that can determine his freedom.

"You can't tame the untamable," Shadow said once he had finished his coffee. "That collar won't hold those things in you  forever, and that's what we'll have to fix before our time ends." The ebony one crossed his arms and closed his eyes as he talked, making Sonic even more nervous.

"How am I supposed to get them to stop having murderous tendencies? They think for themselves." Sonic replied without thinking.

"You'll figure it out." Shadow and rouge said in unison.
