The sun shining though my window directly at my face woke me up, I shut my eyes and covered them with my hand for a minute before rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I looked in front of me and smiled, the twins slept on my bed last night. I kinda needed emotional support and they never refuse having a sleepover.

I was the big spoon, Alex was the middle spoon, and Nicky was the little spoon. Alex had his arm around his brother loosely while Nicky's hair covered his whole face. I uncovered his face a little so he didn't suffocate and looked at the clock.

9:45 am.

I rolled out of bed - careful not to wake the twins up - and went to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth, showered, and did my business, then went back into the room to check on the twins and grab my glasses.

I'll let them sleep a bit more.

Getting out of the room, I shut the door carefully and walked over to the stairs, putting my hair in a bun as I did so. I stepped down the last step and looked up, only for my eyes to widen and my jaw to drop in complete awe.

My entire house was filled with peonies, they were on the floor, on the tables, just literally everywhere. I walked down the flower free path and looked around me, my face frozen in shock. I followed the trail and noticed a gift box on the center table.

There was an card with my name on it. I let out a disbelieving breath and reached to grab it with shaky hands.

'I remember you once told me peonies were your favorites, I hope that hasn't changed since.'

Tom.

'P.S. Tell Nicky and Alex good morning from me.'

I stare down at the card, frozen. Tom did this...For me. He remembered my favorite flower, and went out of his way to fill my entire house with them. Just because he wanted to.

I feel faint.

I set the card down on the table and took a moment to process the situation. After a quick pause, I grabbed the box and gently undid the ribbon. I would never forgive myself if I damaged anything of the gift.

Taking the lid off, I reached into it and pulled out the contents. My heart sped up, in the box were five cords holding five VIP tickets with backstage entrance for their concert tonight.

I shot up from the couch with an exited smile and checked each and one of them to make sure they were real. I have always wondered what it would be like to hear them perform, and now I can.
