The Briefcase

You, Luther and Five arrived at a bar, you all peeked in seeing the man sitting at the bar and you also spotted the briefcase

"why don't we just garb the briefcase and run" Luther said and you both looked at Luther 

"Luther, i would never let that happen, were trained to guard these briefcases with our life" Five said and Luther agreed 

"plus, its the inherent paradox where this gets tricky, i'm endangering my existence just being in the room with myself" Five said as you wandered around  

"huh- what do you mean" Luther said as you wandered off 

"Luther try to keep up, if old me doesn't travel back to 2019 like he's supposed to the whole thing unravels its self, i cease to exist you got me" Five said as he looked over at you trying to walk off 

"i get you" Luther said and Five grabbed your arm bringing you back

 "so our best chance is to talk to him, to reason with him, he''l understand...trust me" Five said seeming a little worried

"i know myself better than uh...better than i know myself" Five said scratching the back of his neck 

"you just itched your neck" Luther pointed out "that's stage two" you said and Five looked down at you 

"no i didn't, i didn't itch me neck" Five said denying the fact he did 

"denial is stage one" Luther said, for once he was speaking some truth 

"i am FINE okay, lets stay on task shall we" Five said trying to walk away

Luther stopped him holding his hand out "wait" 

"what" "maybe i should go first" Luther said 

"why" "well you'll freak him out, bumping into your own tiny doppelganger, he will lose his shit" Luther said and you agreed 

"just let me break the ice, okay" Luther said and Five agreed 

You both watched as he walked off, talking to the older Five 

You tried your best standing still, patting your legs

Five looked at you confused "y/n, calm down" he said as he closely watched Luther

"i am calm" you said, opening and closing your hands, he looked at you 

"i am really, i haven't taken my pills in 3 days" you said and Five sighed 

"come on" he said grabbing you hand and Luther showed you both to the older Five 

You both made eye contact for a while, "hey there stranger"  Five said breaking the silence

~Time Skip~

You all sat at a table and you did your best to see since you were so small 

"well...this is nice, the three of us together like this" Luther said 

You peeked up "no" both the Five's said in union 

"somebody explain to me how it is i'm having a pint of Guinness with my younger self" the old Five said 

"older, actually, i'm you just 14 days older" Five said 

"i have pubic hair smarter than you, hows that possible" Old Five said and you looked at him oddly 

"you see, one hour from now on the grassy knoll before the president is killed, you break your contract with the commission, i already know your thinking about it, all those years in the apocalypse we never stopped worrying about our family" Five said taking a deep breath

You looked around, patting your hands on the table 

"well, today you are going to so something about it, Today you are going to attempt to time travel forward to 2019 however, you are going to screw up the jump and end up in this twip of a body, trapped, forever, small, pubescent" Five said and you could tell he was getting mad

"okay, even if i was to believe you, what am i supposed to do about it, not jump" Old Five said 

"no no, i need you to jump, if you don't jump i cease to exist, what i need from you is to jump correctly" Five said 

"i'm listening" Old Five said, this was getting pretty intense, and you couldn't sit still longer 

"the first time through i got the calculation wrong, that's how i ended up in this body but know i know the correct calculation" Five said 

Old Five starred at Five waiting for a response "what is it" he said 

"i'd be glad to tell you, in exchange for that briefcase you're holding under the table" Five said and you looked at Old Five 

"yeah, yeah so you go back to 2019 as planned but this time with the right math, so you remain a full grown man, in exchange we get that briefcase you no longer need" Luther said 

"timeline restored, paradox resolved, everyone goes on existing happily ever after" Five said and you looked at Old Five 

"that's quite a bit to take in" he said as you looked at Five "What do you think" Five asked him 

"i think..." Old Five said pausing and you all looked at him eagerly "i need to piss" he said walking away

You looked at Five who looked drenched in sweat "well, besides the flop sweat, i think that went pretty well am i right" Luther said dabbing Five with a napkin

You looked at Luther, standing up in your chair reaching for the napkin, "oh you want to do it" you nodded and Luther handed you the napkin 

You dabbed Five's sweaty face and you felt successful 

"no, no there's something...something doesn't feel right about this" Five said as you kept dabbing 

"what do you mean" Luther said, always asking questions

"i don't trust him" Five said and you looked at him funny "but he's you" You said putting the napkin down still sitting on the table 

"exactly" he said and you were still confused 

You watched as Luther walked into the bathroom, "so what do we do now Five" you said asking him 

"Y/n, i need you to go grab your things and come back" Five said 

"what...why" you said about to cry "no no no, don't cry, its a good thing" he said holding your shoulders 

"you're going to come with me" he said and you looked at him "but..." you said worried

Everyone you get attached to dies, right? Like Cha Cha, Hazel, Osacr, Otto, wait what about Axel

You sighed, "okay i guess" you said and Five helped you off the table, "meet us here" he said giving you a paper and you nodded 

"bye Five" you said hugging him, hoping it wouldn't be the last~
