Y/N'S POV

Class was coming to an end, thankfully. Staying up all night with your emotional boyfriend is not an ideal way to prepare for your Monday morning classes. Just before falling asleep comfortably behind my computer screen, the professor had announced the dismissal for the class. As I was packing my stuff and getting ready to leave I feel the vibrations in my hand coming from my phone, seeing how it was from my boyfriend Max.

For some reason Max has been more clingy lately, for example he called me last night hysterically crying telling me how afraid he was to lose me and he would never do anything to hurt me. This morning he even got up early and bought me flowers, which were favorite pink tulips and my favorite drink from Starbucks which is weird because he never does that. Instead of thinking to of it I answer the call.

"Hello ? "

"Hey, are you out of class yet ? I wanted to take you out today"

"Umm, yeah it just finished right now"

"Okay, I will be there in about 5 minutes in front of the school "

" Okay see you then" I say and then end the call.

As I was about to walk out of the classroom I hear someone call my name "y/n!" I hear my really good friend Soobin say. I stopped as I let him catch up to me. I saw the 6'1 dark haired boy walk up to me wearing a tan Nike crewneck with all black pants and white Air Forces.

At this moment I really needed someone to talk with about my Max situation. I only have him to talk to for now because Olivia has been distant this past week and Nailea is on a family trip and I don't want to burden her with my problems.

As Soobin walks up to me, we give each other a quick hug. " You look very handsome today" I say while wiggling my eyebrows, in a teasing manner "Thank you, you're very pretty as always" giving a playful wink.

After a moment of silence I start the conversation by asking "Please be honest with me" he stops and looks at me with a confused expression "okay ?" I sigh as I explain to him how Max has been acting these past few days. Soobin then looks at me with a slight frown. "Wait do you think that is bad" I say with a confused look. "Well kind of considering you have been dating for two years and he never really does anything like that for you". He was right Max never did anything special for me "Sorry if I hurt your feeling by saying that" he looked at me with a very concerned expression. " Oh no don't worry you didn't, I was just thinking of how true that really was"

I am so glad I have someone like Soobin in my life, I have pushed him off a lot because of Max. I know that it is really messed up but I rather not cause unnecessary problems between me and him because he has jealousy problems.

"Thank you so much Soobin, I really appreciate it even more then you know"

"Yeah of course y/n, you know I will always be here for you" he says pulling me into a hug

I then hear a car honk, I pull out of the hug to see that it was none other then Max. After me and Soobin say our goodbyes I start to walk to the car"What the hell was that!?" Max raises his voice at me I then snap back saying " It was nothing! I didn't know I wasn't allowed to have friends" I say rolling my eyes as I close the car door. " I never said that, but anyways we are going for brunch so let's just drop this because I don't want to fight with you"

TIME SKIP
(30 minutes)

Once we arrived at the cafe I unbuckled my seatbelt and was about to open my own door when Max rushed to open my door. I looked at him with furrowed brows. "Why the special treatment all of a sudden? You never open my door let alone set up plans for a date." I say getting out of the car and walking into the cafe. "Why cant I treat my beautiful girlfriend how special she really is?" I shrug my shoulders as I'm greeted a waitress, to my surprise its olivia. Due to us not talking much I had no idea she worked today, she looked at Max and I with a surprised look. She quickly changed her expression to a smile and lead us to a booth towards the back and handed us menus.

I scooted into my seat and began to look through the food options as if I didn't get the same order every time. Max was fidgeting with the corner of the menu and biting his lip, looking uncomfortable. "Are you okay?" I ask him with worry laced into my voice. "Yeah, just had a little too much coffee this morning. Nothing serious." After he was done explaining himself Olivia had came back with a pot of coffee and her note pad to take our orders. I ordered 3 chocolate chip pancakes with a side of hash browns and chocolate milk. Max ordered a breakfast burrito and water. Olivia was acting different she was really short with me and was focused on Max. I decided not to pay too much attention to it and enjoy the fact that Max is actually being affectionate for once.

Once Olivia walked away Max's phone was blowing up like crazy "Are you going to get that?" I say looking at him with a blank face "No sweetheart, today is about you" he says with a forced smile his phone the goes off again and I take it to see that it was Olivia.

I throw the phone at him "WHAT THE FUCK MAX! WHAT DOES THIS BITCH MEAN BY "YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE GOING TO BREAK UP WITH HER?"" I say while the whole cafe is watching, and just as I couldn't get anymore pissed Olivia comes back...
