Sideward glances. Awkward pauses.
Stolen laughs. Held back tears.
Regrets washing over. Waves thrashing under.
Stolen glances. Stashed away smiles.
And when I look back I see you, stashing away the smile, hurt I caused in your eyes.
Your lips grow grim and your eyes go slim.
Forever it took for me to find you but only a moment to loose you.
And here I stand inch by inch, so close to you and yet so very far away.
You were mine and now you are not.
And here I stand, with my regrets and indecisions, swallowing the tears and a forefront smile that never reaches the eye.
You were my serendipity and you still are.
But you were mine and now you are not.
And all I am left with is stolen glances and held back tears. The hurdles in my path back to you were too much that I lost my way.
I lost my way back to the soul, back to the happiness I unintentionally found.
And here I am standing lost in a sea of thoughts.
Not knowing what now, wishing it was the ends.
And here I am standing lost in an ocean of regrets and rivers of tears.
You pulled and I pushed.
Why could we not be more in sync in our strokes? For it were, I would have never lost you.
But now,
You were mine but now you are not.
Swept off by the tides, far way from me.
And here I am, and there you are.
Alone or not but lost just as same.
