Part Twenty

When you open your eyes, you see a black door. The door of the rooftop.

Your feet couldn't move when you heard Taehyung's voice.

Your feets didn't move when you heard another voice. The voice of a girl which was too familiar.

Your feets didn't move. You tried. You tried so hard but they didn't budge as if they were stuck on the ground.

Please. You don't want to be late again.

When you hear Taehyung calling a name,

Nari.

Your heart beats fast in your chest, I don't want to be late. Please, let me save him. You desperately beg someone to hear you. Someone who you couldn't see but know they are watching you. Please lady nuwa, I want to save him.

And your feets move, you open the door with a slam.

When you look at the sight of Taehyung and Nari. You felt like the world stopped. Time stopped.

Taehyung's glassy eyes look at you. The tears were rolling down and your heart clenched.

Nari was the last person you expected to see.

You knew Taehyung didn't suicide when you saw a silhouette the other day but you couldn't seem to find the person. And now when the person is finally in front of you, you aren't able to bring yourself to believe.

How could you never find that she used to love him? But is it really love?

How could she do that?

To you? To him?

The pen drive was in Taehyung's hand. The pendrive which is about you. The pendrive which Taehyung wants to end, destroys even if it will take him his life.

He let himself end just because he could save you. He ended himself just to end the pendrive which was Nari's, your supposedly friend who you never thought would betray you, your friendship.

When nari seems to push Taehyung, your heart seems to start beating again and the time starts again.

You run towards her and push her away from him.

It happened so fast that she was pushed towards the edge of the roof.

She stops and looks at you and tries to attack you but before she could even do anything, you push her away.

She loses her balance of the body. You move towards her to grab her hand as she holds you by your waist and with her, you fall down from the rooftop.

Your body free falls from the tall building, the school where you thought everything was better.

The school where you had memories, you want to cherish and keep it safe in your heart.

The school where you find friends you want to protect and love forever.

The school where you find your first kiss and your first love.

You wonder if Taehyung remembers the kiss, you wonder if he knows how you cried for him everyday to be alive. You wonder if he knows how much you love him.

You could just wonder yet you smiled,

"I'm not late." You say,

You saw Taehyung screaming your name as you fell down. His tears were the last thing you wanted to see in your last breath.

Your body touch the ground,

For some reason you couldn't feel pain.

You wonder for the last time, was it because you're finally happy to see him alive? Or is it just the pain of him and you will never be together in this life more than the physical pain?

You close your eyes, remember every happiness you shared in your life.

Mom-dad, you wished you could hug them again and tell, you love them so much. Apologize for leaving them with pain again. Tell them to be happy even if it's without you.

Yeri, your best friend and you were glad to have her beside you. You wish you could compensate for the six years you left her.

Jungkook, your only person who was your happiness. You wish you had called him more when he needed someone beside him.

You wanted to remember him for last time, him calling your name with his boxy-smile, his laugh, his remarks to your stupidity...his embrace, his kiss. His everything.

You wish you could tell him you love him more than he will ever know for the first and last time.

You wish you could wake up from this nightmare and see everyone again and live happily. With him beside you.

You open your eyes slowly, and maybe for the last time.

You hear feets shuffling and people screaming around you.

You turn your head which is too heavy to move.

You see Nari, her eyes staring at you. You wish Nari wouldn't have done anything like this. You wish Nari could understand, she could not force anyone to love her.

You know how her parents never loved her. Her bruises by her parents she used to cover. She just needed someone to love yet,

Love isn't done by force. Love is something strong, which could make you go crazy for them when they smile. Make you protect them and you would die to save them.

And you're happy..that you could love someone like Taehyung. You're happy that this time, it was you who protected him.

You subconsciously smiled and finally let the dark fall around you.
