They all run to science class and make it just in time. They all sit at their desks. Hailey sits at the front, Raelynn and Skylar in row 5, Rachel in row 4 and Val in row 7 all the way at the back. After they sit down Val remembers that she forgot her science book.
She raises her hand and asks " Mr. Buckman I forgot my science book may I go get it!" "No you may not just read from your partner's books you're wasting class time now SIT DOWN!.
Rachel then turns around and hands Val a spare science book.
"It's from Henry," Rachel says, "Apparently he has 2 of every single textbook." "Thanks Val says and takes the science book from Rachel.
"Listen up class!" Mr. Buckman said, "Today we are going to do a project. We are learning about Newton's theory of Relativity."
"What the hell is that?" Val thought. "For this project I will be pairing you up with another student, let's see, first, Rachel Emerly and Maria Parker, Skylar Josephine and Brielle Reagan, Mackenzie Juniper and Hailey Quinn, blah blah blah blah blah blah."
Val spaced out until she heard her name being called by Mr. Buckman. "Valentina, Valentina, VALENTINA!" Mr. Buckman shouted.
"Oh, um sorry, Yes Mr. Buckman?" Val said. "I said who you were going to be paired with." Said Mr. Buckman. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you, could you please repeat it?" Val said quietly.
"Hmph. I said, Valentina Lavigne and Henry Sebastian, you two are paired." Val was too shocked to speak. She saw Henry walking up to her and immediately got butterflies in her stomach.
"Hey, So, I guess we're partners now! Your name was... Valentina right?" Henry said, sitting down beside Val. "Her name is Valentina but you can call her Val, I'm sure she won't mind." Hailey said walking by.
"Alright, Val, let's get started. Oh by the way you still have my science book right?" Henry said. Val pulled the science book out of her desk and handed it to Henry.
"Here you go," Val said quietly. "Thanks, and by the way, who was that girl who said I could call you Val? Does she know you or something?" Henry asked.
'Um, that was my friend Hailey." Val said. "Oh cool, do you guys hang out a lot?" Henry asked Val. "Yeah me, her and some other girls hang out together." Val said. "Nice, you know I think we're gonna be good friends Val." Henry said.
At this moment all the butterflies in Val's stomach flew away, she didn't feel nervous talking to Henry that much anymore. Of course she still was nervous but not as much.
*Bell rings* "Well, I guess science class is over," Said Henry, getting up and picking his books off the table. "See ya around Val!" Henry said, waving as he walked out the door. Val's heart skipped a beat as he said this.
Then Val got her books and walked to her locker to put them away. It was lunch so Val arrived at the cafeteria feeling insanely happy.
Val got her lunch. It was a small salad, roast beef with baked potatoes, a piece of cheese, a small baguette, French onion soup, a bottle of grape juice and some marzipan. She saw Rachel waving at her so she went to sit with them.
"OMG GIRLLLL!!!!!" Raelynn shouted. "What? Is this because I got paired with Henry?" Val said. "Yes! Obviously! So are you nervous?" Rachel said. "No not really, I think I'm slowly starting to be more confident." Val said.
While Val and her friends were eating, Emma and Alex walked up to them. "Hey guys, what are you doing?" Val asked. "Yeah, mom said we were leaving early, remember?" Alex said. "Yeah she said we were going to Aunty Anastasia's house today, it's Arabelle's birthday." Emma said. "Oh right, she's turning 13 today. Well I gotta go, bye guys!" Val said to her friends.
Val walked to her locker and started getting her stuff while Emma and Alex waited. After Val got her stuff they all started walking to Alex's car. Val and Emma were sitting in the back and Alex started driving.
"Did you hear what happened to Chloe?" Emma said. "Yeah I know, she got gum in her hair, I was in her class when it happened." Val said while typing on her phone.
"It's horrible! Who would throw gum in someone's hair? I feel so bad for Chloe! She's probably gonna have to cut her hair!" Emma exclaimed worriedly. "Nope she deserved it." Alex said. "Right?!" Val said to Alex.
"Oh also we need to stop at the mall, mom wanted us to all pick a gift and card for Arabelle." Alex said.
When they got to the mall first they all went to the dollar store and picked out cards for Arabelle. Val also got some lip gloss for Arabelle too.
Then they split up to go find their own gifts. Emma got Arabelle a necklace and a dress, Alex got her a mini dollhouse and Val got her a stuffed bear.
After they met up in the parking lot and drove to Aunt Anastasia's house. When they got there their mom was already waiting for them.
They went inside Aunt Anastasia's house which was pretty luxurious. Aunt Anastasia was pretty rich, when they went inside they all said "Happy Birthday Arabelle!" They gave Arabelle the gifts and had cake and stayed at their house till about 9pm.
After the party Val, Alex, Emma, and their mom went home. They were too full to eat dinner so they all went to bed since it was a school night.
