Claire's P.O.V
I was just drifting off to sleep, an hour after I put Sophie to bed , when the phone rang. Worried about my parents, as they had been out for quite some time, I ran to get it. It was the hospital, telling me that a drunk had hit my parents car and they were admitted in a 'critical condition' and that they would send someone to come and get us. Suddenly scared, I woke Sophie in a panic and told her "Soph, Mom and Dad got in a car crash, they are in hospital but they are badly hurt. Someone from the hospital is on their way to get us, grab what you want, put some clothes on and then we can go" Sophie looked terribly scared, so I ran and got myself ready quickly, then went and helped Sophie get ready. I grabbed her backpack and chucked her blanket, a teddy, and spare undies in it. Seeing as I don't need as much, I grabbed my backpack and put food, money and my jumper in it.
Sophie's P.O.V
I woke up to Claire talking to me. I checked the clock, 1:30 in the morning! I wanted to go back to sleep, but Claire kept shaking me. I finally opened my eyes and saw that Claire had panic in her eyes. She then went on to tell me that Mom and Dad got in a car crash and they are in hospital, but they are badly hurt. I suddenly felt terribly scared, and judging by Claire, I looked scared too. She said to get some clothes on and that she'll pack a bag for me. Reluctantly, I slid out of bed and put some pants and a T-shirt on, chucking a jumper over top. Claire chucked some food into another bag, enough to last the night. I'm so scared and worried about my parents, will they survive?!
