Eren's office was beautiful. There were bookshelves aligning the walls with  a really pretty green wallpaper. There were plenty of brown couches that looked so soft and his desk was in the middle of the room. The desk was pretty big with three different computers. His back wall was all glass (hard fucking glass obviously), and you could see the outside. He pulled the guest chair to be right next to his large desk chair. "Sit please." He gestured, and sat down in his chair. "Okay, let me start from the beginning." I made sure to leave out gruesome details but I told him everything.

"So Levi, you're from Californa, hm?" I nodded, wiping the tears from my cheeks. "What's it like?" Chatter from outside of the office could be heard. I looked towards the door before sniffling and looking back towards him. "Well, it's a very lovely place if you put its cleanliness aside. I didn't have much family so it's not like I left anyone there. My mom died when I was young and I never knew my dad." I paused for a moment, speaking softly. "Los Angeles was my favorite city in Cali. During the holidays, the people decorate extravagantly and the food is always amazing. Though, I don't really miss it. New York is literally the same thing, minus people randomly breaking out in song." I smiled. "Have you always lived here?" He nodded. "Born and raised. My mother and father both died a few years ago. I was left with everything the Jaeger family had. Money, homes, business. I'm positive that most would be delighted to be left with billions but.." He sighed. "It was quite a burden. I was only 19 and in college. The only people that got me through everything were Armin and Mikasa. Mikasa whipped me into shape quickly and Armin helped me out with finance, economics, accounting, and pharmaceuticals." He smiles. "That's why they're family." I smiled in admiration. Eren smiled back before looking at the time on his watch. "Do you mind if I work for an hour or two? You are more than welcome to look around the room. I have plenty of books. Maybe you could take a nap? I'm sure you're tired." He gestured, moving his chair closer to his desk and opening his laptop. I got up from the chair to pick a book from the bookshelf in the back of the room. "Seasons change" is one of the books I read. Taking interest, I grabbed the book and settled on the couch. My eyes grew heavy by the time I got to the third page. Without notice, I fell asleep.

(Eren's P.O.V)

I looked out of the corner of my eye to see the book Levi was reading fall out of his limp hand and hit the floor. He fell asleep. I got up from my chair to grab a blanket from the cabinet next to the couch. I laid it out across Levi's small body. Tucking the soft blanket up to his neck, he snuggled into it with a soft sigh. He's so cute, I thought to myself. "I really missed you Lee.." I muttered. Suddenly, his eyes flickered open. "Eren?" My eyes softened. "Shh, go back to sleep." Not listening to me, he sat up rubbing his eyes. "I fell asleep?" I nodded. I sat down next to him and brushed away the loose strands of hair from his face. "I must've been pretty tired.." He mumbled. Mikasa did say he has insomnia, I thought to myself. The grand-father clock in the far corner of the room struck for an hour after noon. "We missed lunch." I playfully pouted. "Are you up for something to eat? There's a really good restaurant on the 5th floor." Levi immediately lit up. I couldn't help but to smile. "Yeah!" He got up and straightened his clothes. "Can you tell Mika to meet us there? I should probably apologize for just walking out earlier." I raised a brow. "You apologize? She knew better than to mention Erwin's name, as I presume." He shook his head. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

"I'm always right sweetheart." I remarked with a grin. A heavy pink spread across his cheeks and a slight pout followed after. "S-Stop that." My hand reached out to cup his cheek. "You're so cute." I said softly, then kissed his forehead. "I told you, I'm not cute! I'm manly!" He slightly shouted. From what I could tell, he was embarrassed. "Do you always shout when you're nervous?" I playfully asked before adding, "Or is it just because of me?" He blushed harder and his gaze went to the floor. "I-It's just you." I cupped his cheek and his gaze rose back up towards me. I looked at him in his beautiful silver eyes and kissed his lips. I closed my eyes and he immediately kissed back. I pulled away after a few moments before resting  my head against his with a soft sigh. "You know Levi, from the moment we met online, I knew I wanted to hold you." I said softly whilst wrapping my arms around his small waist. "I liked you a lot then, and I like you a lot now. Even when you were gone for some time, you never left the back of my head." A few moments of silence passed. "It is the same for me. I think it was just harder for me to realize because of Erwin." He stepped back, though still stayed within my embrace. "I-I.." He stuttered. "I think that.. I love you." My eyes widened. "B-But.. I'm scared because of.." He stopped, and I could see his eyes watering. "I don't want to burden you with any of it, Eren. I can't do that to you."
