Jacq walked leisurely through the campus of her university. She had an hour block free for herself so she was taking it to take a stroll.
She'd just come from her Organic Chemistry class and would be going to her English Literature class after her walk. Part of her still couldn't believe this was her life.
She thought over the past five months. It'd been a wild, hectic ride but she wouldn't change any of it. Once they'd gotten to Anchorage, she and her family had settled into the large rambling home that she had purchased with Cole's help.
There was space for everyone and they could grow. The kids even got to decorate their rooms exactly how they wanted. Jacq made sure free expression reigned in their household.
Cindy was thriving in the large town of Anchorage and her first year of high school. She wanted to be exactly like Jacq so she was taking her harder courses first so she could party her last year. But she did take art so she wouldn't be overwhelmed.
Noel was skyrocketing himself. He was playing football and in choir and he found his footing. He could be a little boy now. He amassed friends and thought he was cute so little girls flocked.
Sab was in first grade now and was having a ball. She had a lot of friends herself and was doing well in school. She had a lot of artistic endeavors and was constantly doing something cute.
Jacq was proud of her siblings but even prouder of her kids. Xuê was in preschool and one couldn't tell her she wasn't in high school. She had fun and friends and flourished. She was talking a lot more and always on the move.
Carlos was merely in a daycare but he was popular himself. All the baby girls were constantly in his face and he allowed it. Jacq was watching him... He also was speaking more (so much that he wouldn't stop) and running everywhere. It was hard to keep up with him.
But Jacq didn't mind. Her kids were her world.
Also in her world was Gabi and Bobby. Her best friends stayed right down the street from her and they saw each other every day. Gabi more than the others because of classes and soccer training but still.
Bobby declared his major to be veterinarian like he'd wanted and Logan went to the same preschool as Xuê, where he definitely didn't like all the attention she got from other boys.
Gabi was growing in the sun from being removed from the shadow of her mother's thumb. Their relationship wasn't the most firm but they spoke every once in a while. Gabi was a little hurt that they couldn't be close like other girls with their mothers but she was going to change that in her own life because... she'd had a daughter.
Melody Chung was the cutest little baby and super chill. She loved to laugh and she always was smiling. Her family loved her to pieces, even Logan, who didn't permit people to touch "his" baby.
Jacq smiled to herself as she thought about the changes she'd been through. She'd given birth two days after getting to Alaska and that was a trip but she and her offspring were safe so that was all she cared about. She'd taken the rest of summer to relax and heal but when the first day of school started, she was in class.
It was super hard as she was used to being around her kids all day but even though she cried, she did it. She was working towards something and she wasn't stopping because of hormones. Even she knew she was like a bullet train.
She began dancing loosely, hearing music in her head. She did take time out to have fun and one thing was to go dancing on the weekends. It was a lot of fun and men continuously flocked to her. She suspected it was because she'd lost quite a bit of weight but Gabi swore it was because she glowed from her soul.
