So Junior year is coming to a close and I have to say I enjoyed the school year. I really didn't expect much coming in. I thought I would be that average kid in school who is just trying to get through school, but NO different stuff happened that changed my year.
First off, I thought I was going to be on JV football, but because of my hard work the past summer I earned a spot on Varisty and I was supper stoked to be representing the Boswell Pioneers on the football field. Unfortunately we didn't make the playoffs, but it's a season I won't forget.
Second my classes were I wasn't expecting. I wanted to accounting, but couldn't so I had debate, but I hated debate so I was put in AVID and I had no idea what to expect. I honestly thought at first AVID for people who struggle in school, but instead I met some intelligent people in that. So never judge a book by its cover. I had some different teachers and some from previous years. Overall, the classes I received was the best combination I could have gotten.
Finally was the people I met. I had some of my old friends in my classes, but I also met new people. I made new friends and I'm glad I met those people. I had my struggles throughout this year, but because I had friends who were with me I was able to push through and overcome. I also lost some friends, but nothing stays the same and you learn to move on and become a stronger person.
As I look back this school year I know there were times where I hated it, but I would not change anything about it. Senior year is coming up and I get excited about, but also sad about it. I'm excited that I will almost be done with school and that I will be able to start a new chapter in my life. I'm sad that all the people I met and I've become really good friends with I probably will never see again after Senior year. So it is wise to make Senior year the best.
All I say is Thank you Junior year. You've made me the person I am. I hope this summer goes well and I will be looking forward to Senior year. :)
