Y/n hated cooking but her girlfriend Halle LOVED it. And so it was almost impossible for Halle to convince Y/n to cook with her. However today Y/n felt really bad for constantly shutting Halle down so she agreed.

"So what exactly are we going to be cooking?" y/n asked.

"To be honest I don't trust you with the oven, or the stove, soooo we can just make a salad.," she replied.

Y/n laughed.

"No please lets do something interesting," y/n begged.

"Well alright."

Halle took out her phone and read a cupcake recipe. Then put it on the counter for the 2 of them to see.

"In a medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a second bowl (or bowl of your stand mixer), beat together softened butter and sugar on medium-high speed 5 minutes until thick and fluffy.
Beat in eggs 1 at a time, mixing to incorporate with each egg then blend in vanilla and scrape down the bowl.
Reduce mixer to medium speed and add the flour in thirds, alternating with adding the 1/2 cup buttermilk and beating well between additions.
Pour batter into 12 lined muffin tins, filling 2/3 full. Bake in the center of the oven at 350˚F for 20-23 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool 5 minutes in the pan then remove cupcakes to a wire rack to cool completely."

"Wow thats a loooonggg recipe," Y/n said as her eyes widened.

"It's not thattt bad," Halle said.

"Whatever you say," Y/n shrugged.

Halle took out all the ingredients.

"Okay ummmm," she said, "pour flour into this bowl."

Y/n nodded. Halle prepared the butter and sugar and mixed it until it was soft. Suddenly a scream erupted from Y/n. Halle turned around and saw her covered in flour. She laughed, as y/n grumpily crossed her arms.

"WAIT WAIT LET ME TAKE A PICTURE!" Halle said getting her phone and taking a picture of y/n and her little accident.

Y/n groaned. "I better not see that picture anywhere."

Y/n cleaned herself up and they continued. Eventually they put the cupcakes into the oven and went to relax while they waited. They went to their room and cuddled together. Halle massaged Y/n's head.

"I'm gonna fall asleep," Y/n said.

"Me... too....."

And with that they fell asleep completely forgetting about the cupcakes. 45 minutes later they woke up to a burning smell.

"Y/N!" Halle screamed, "THE CUPCAKES!"

Y/n jumped up and they both ran. There was smoke all over the kitchen and the fire alarm went off. Halle grabbed a cloth and tried to blow the smoke away. Y/n opened a window to let the smoke out. About 10 minutes later the smoke died down. When Halle took the cupcakes out they were all burned. They erupted with laughs.

"I'm never cooking with you again," Halle giggled.
