PROLOGUE

"Aries, are you prepared?"

I responded angrily to Andromeda, "What did you just call me?" Seriously, she had the nerve to insist that my real identity should be maintained despite the fact that I was the one who made the gang? Fuck.

She apologised, a small drop of perspiration on her face, "Sorry sorry, Primrose."

Since I had a well-known last name, I didn't enjoy it when my group called me by my true name because the police would then be able to identify me.

Jarrel questioned, "Primrose, when should I activate this bomb."

I don't know why they started calling me Primrose, but I simply put up with it because I don't want my true name to be spoken out in public.

I gave a quick, direct response, "Put your black mask on first." I told them, "Adi, you hold the gun and you Iano, you know what to do. Me, Wick, and Wanda are going to pick up those money from the cashier."

: "three, two, one."

The grocery store's corner suddenly experienced an explosion. Adi was holding the gun as my gang and I fled straight to where the cashier was.

Adi yelled in front of the shoppers in the grocery store, "Hands up if you don't want to die!"

We three started to gather the cash at the register. I grabbed a white plastic bag from the side and filled it with all the cash. Wick and Wanda followed suit.

I said to the worker, "Thanks for the money." Their terrified faces made me almost laugh myself out, haha.

Wick remarked, clutching a bag of cash in his left hand, "You done Rose?"

I said calmly, "Yeah, let's get going before the cops will show up."

Our group quickly sprinted to the spot where the bomb had previously exploded. Jarrel made a wise decision by doing that, making it simpler for us to leave this obnoxious grocery store. I'm happy I chose Jarrel for my gang.

We had to get to our old, dusty car quickly since the guard was pursuing us. Jarrel was waiting in the car when I yelled, "TURN THE FUCKING THING ON!" He immediately turned it on, the four of us got inside, and Jarrel drove it erratically quickly.

Relieved, we sighed, that the police were not present means that no one is pursuing us. As soon as we received the money, we began counting it and divided it into five.

Andromeda sighed and remarked, "Ah, this is good to help my family out."

I said, "Thanks for the ride, see y'all next time," to my crew before locking the car.

I then began to move in the direction of my home. My home is not very tidy and is rather little, like an old cottage. Even though I despise my nine-year-old kid a lot, I simply don't have the time to clean up the mess since I have to take care of him. The house is very dusty and disgusting. I would be quite happy if he didn't exist.

I opened the door cautiously. On the soiled couch, I noticed my son soundly dozing off. I sat next to him while I held his head on to my lap. To help him get a good night's sleep, I started softly patting his head.

I never thought I'd be a mother, and I never wanted to be one either. I've been in despair ever since I knew that I'm pregnant with him that I've wanted to murder the child growing inside of me. I was so young at the time, and I wanted to get rid of him so badly.

When I already had him, who resembled me exactly, I never anticipated feeling this way.

He had fallen asleep comfortably when I started crying, so I made sure he couldn't hear me.

I gently said, "I don't know what I would do with you... I don't even know how you still treat me like a mother when I can't be one myself."

As I softly returned his head on the cushion, I got up. I quickly took a bath and ate dinner. I was shocked, even some food was left for me. I didn't expect him to leave it for me.

I headed to the balcony after ascending the stairs. I continued to contemplate as I raised my eyes to the stars.

I am really fortunate to have a child that shows such concern for me, but why can't I reciprocate?

What if I let others adopt him in his place? I'm not worthy for him. He needs a good life.

But I can't do that because he is my child and I don't want him to go through what I did in the past.

I let out a long sigh before returning to my room. I dozed off while lying on my bed.

Tomorrow is going to be even worse.
