Two Birds [Pearl and Coral(SU OC)]

Coral lay in the grass next to Pearl, twitching. "Pearl, I don't wanna just lay here! I wanna go out and stab things! Do something! Make some change to the world! Or maybe... Something else~"

"Darling, I do too, but can we just... Sit for a while?" Pearl smiled weakly at Coral, and she blushed, but her eye twitched. "Pearl, I wanna do something!" She growled. Then she laughed. "Come on!"

"Cor, I'm tired. Later, I will." Pearl looked down at the ground guiltily. Coral stood up and started pacing.

"Pearl! LISTEN TO ME!" Coral yelled at her. "Deep breaths. In, 2, 3, 4, hold, 2, 3, 4..." Pearl continued helping her girlfriend through her breathing. "I know there's stuff you want to do, but..." 

"...Pearl?" She sat up to look at Coral. The pink gem sat down next to her Pearl and rested her head on her shoulder. "...We're always gonna stay together, right?"

The two gems hands slowly intertwined, and Pearl blushed. "Of course. I just..." She drifted off. Coral looked at her. "Hm?" 

"Oh, hah, it's nothing."

"Hmm... I'm tired."

Pearl laughed half heartedly. "Cor... I..." She took a deep breath. "Lay down then!" Coral smiled at her, and Pearl looked away. Coral felt the slight tension in the air grow thicker. 

"...Pearl... This is about Rose, isn't it?..."

Pearl tensed. "I... I just feel like everything is going so fast. I dedicated my life to her and now she's gone but you're here and I do truly love you but I loved her too and..." She sighed. "I just... I don't like change..."

Coral looked down at the grass growing beneath her. "I'm sorry." Pearl shook her head. "No! No, don't be sorry." 

"But Rose Quartz was your love before and now I'm here and I'm taking up so much of you and your life and you don't need to love me we can do what you want it's fine with me I just want you to be happy and—"

"Calm down. It's alright. I love you. I'm okay with this. I just need a bit of time to adjust. That's all." 

"If... If you say so. I trust you."

A/N: I got a bit distracted with that one, and it's not really constructed ON the song, but rather around it. So, you probably don't care, but I'm adding a really small reference sheet for Coral right here.

She has bipolar and ADHD.
