The sun is just so hot today. I feel like I'm literally inhaling the sun! I'm not that surprised though. There's global warming after all. I thought to myself as I walked to Night Market.I know many believe in paranormal stuff.Come on even I do.The many paranormal stories I've read and continue to read have convinced me enough but Night Market is nothing of spiritual essence in the University of Ghana. It is basically a small market on the university campus that students purchase groceries from. I don't know why it's called Night Market and I never cared enough to ask for the past three years that I've been a student here. I don't think it's that important or is it? My lecture ended twenty minutes ago and I'm starving. I was hoping to buy some jollof rice from my favorite food vendor and rush back to my room to eat. I'm Jacqueline Hanson and I'm a final year student. I'm majoring Linguistics and I absolutely love the course. Thinking about it right now has me smiling like crazy. Today happens to be a Friday and I couldn't be happier about the weekend. I made for the vendor and made a quick purchase and everything cost me a whooping 20 cedis. I don't want to comment on the cost of living in Ghana now but all I'll say is, things here are not cheap. After buying my food, I couldn't wait to satisfy my hunger. I had a 'tote' bag strapped on my shoulder and bent my neck to drop the pack of food inside of it. I was literally walking blindly when my head hit a solid chest. Urg! Boys! I get it that I was walking blind but didn't he see me coming? I heard him apologize quickly as I was raising my head to mutter one of my own. As I looked, it dawned on me that I knew that face from somewhere. In fact,in this same situation. He was the same guy I bumped into two days ago as I was returning from my group discussion in the morning. I swear I hate how early that group discussion is. I mean who schedules a group discussion at 6:30 in the morning? I complain every time I get there but I don't know when they'll finally understand that I'm supposed to be sleeping at 6:30 and not at some group discussion. Anyway, I was really tired that day and didn't want to cause to a scene because I remember very well that he didn't properly apologize and just left me to pick up my books which had fallen when he ungraciously bumped into me. The few students in the hallway that faithful day were just staring at me and I was mentally cussing at that gentleman-he's not even gentle because he didn't make sure I was okay before leaving-who had bumped into me. As soon as everything clicked in my head, the only thing I could let out was, 'You!'

Thank you for reading. I promise that it gets better so please stay with me😊
But honestly, the current inflation rate in Ghana is just crazy. I have to think about 4 to 5 times before buying something and I always have to convince my parents to give me more money because things are expensive in University of Ghana. To put it rightly, I am a student of University of Ghana and I'm actually in my second year.
