My Roommate Pt. 1

*I'm sorry it's really long*

Kai flicks on his stream and greets his viewers as he sets up the game that he is going to play.. Minutes later he finally starts his game while talking to the chat. As the stream goes on, he notices that you (his roommate) wasn't back from school yet, but instead of dwelling on it he pushes it out of his mind as he continues his stream. He also remembers that his fans didn't know he had a roommate so he keeps quiet.

As you were walking back to your apartment, you get a notification on your phone and see that Kai (your roommate) had already started their stream.

"God dammit" you say to yourself before walking up the steps to your apartment room. Kai's fan weren't aware of you, so you were going to have trouble sneaking back into the apartment. Kai had wanted you to remain a secret since he had no idea how his fans would react, and in the real world that type of stuff never ended well.

Kai heard you enter and quickly turned around, happy to see that you were back home. He greets you with a smile before getting back to his game.

"Hey guys this is my roommate y/n" He says towards his viewer as the chats start rolling with questions, wondering who you were.

"Who is she?" He reads from the chat, "Oh! She's my best friend. We've been since we were kids!" He says with a smile continuing his stream.

"So y/n... How was school?" He asks, trying to make conversation with you while still staying focused on the game.

"Well you know, it was school so pretty normal" i say passively, "but... there was a food fight, who would've guessed, in d-hall today. It was quite funny actually, I took a video."

I walk towards his bed and sit at the edge facing him before pulling up the video, reliving the moment once more.

Kai leans back in his chair, glancing over at you before turning his attention back to the game. He chuckles at your story before asking, "Care to share that video with me? I could use a laugh and a little break from this game."

Kai takes a break from his stream to check his phone and watch the video. After watching the video, he looks back up at you laughing a bit before plastering a mischievous grin on his face.

"You know what would be a great way to celebrate a successful food fight?"

You look at him with a questioning face before he continues.

"We could order some pizza... grab a couple beers and play some drinking games. How does that sound?" Kai suggests, hoping to spend some more time with you and have a little fun.

You had to admit it was tempting, but you remembered how important his streams were to both him and his fans. You didn't know whether the fans had liked you or not, but you weren't going to give them a reason to.

"What about your stream?" You ask, pointing at his monitor.

As if he had completely forgotten about the stream, he turns around sheepishly towards the camera. You could see the gears moving around in Kai's head before turning back to you.

"We could always make it into a drunk stream" He says innocently.

"How does that sound guys?" He asks his fans excitedly.

The chat was going crazy, encouraging the ideas as he waited for your reply. You look over at Kai with a straight face wondering what exactly you are getting yourself into.

"fine fine you win, i'll go order the pizza" You say before heading out the room to place the order.

In the background you could hear Kai's cheers as he hyped up the idea even more to the chat. All you could do was laugh at his behavior as you called the nearest pizza place. He could be so childish you thought to yourself.
