The bell rang, and a new girl walked into the classroom. Her name was Aneesa, and she was super cool. Brooke couldn't help but notice that Aneesa was into soccer, just like her. Brooke was puppy-eyeing her from across the room, but she was interrupted when her boyfriend Ben Gross nudged her arm, asking for a pencil. Brooke was jumpy and completely zoned out on Aneesa.
Aneesa took a seat in front of Devi, and they immediately struck up a conversation. Brooke couldn't help but feel left out. She had always been the soccer star at Sherman Oaks High, but now there was someone who was just as good as her. Aneesa was confident, and it was clear that she was going to make an impact at the school.
As the class went on, Brooke couldn't help but keep glancing over at Aneesa. She was fascinated by her and wanted to get to know her better. But every time she tried to talk to her, Ben would interrupt or Devi would be in the way. Brooke felt frustrated and knew that she needed to find a way to get Aneesa's attention.
After class, Brooke made her way to the soccer field, where Aneesa was practicing. She watched her from afar, admiring her skills and her confidence. Brooke knew that she needed to step up her game if she wanted to impress Aneesa.
As Aneesa finished up her practice, Brooke made her way over to her.
"Hey! I'm Brooke.. I play soccer too! your really good at soccer! i'm so excited to play with you!" Brooke said anxiously
"Oh hey! Devi said a lot of stuff about you! You seem super nice." Aneesa said kicking the soccer ball and making a goal
"Well.. Uhm.. Friday i'm having a sleepover with devi and eleanor! you should definitely come with, it's at devi's!" Brooke said smiling
Aneesa smiled and said that she would love to. Brooke felt a rush of excitement and knew that this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
After Brooke had met up with Aneesa and built up the courage to ask her to hang out, Aneesa shockingly said sure! Brooke was ecstatic and couldn't wait to spend more time with her. However, she had to go to lunch period with all her friends, so she said her goodbyes to Aneesa and headed back inside.
As Brooke walked into the building, she bumped into Ben, her boyfriend. Lately, she had been feeling off around him, but she couldn't shake a reason out of her head. She wanted to date Ben, but she just couldn't seem to get close to third base with him. They had made out before, but she just didn't feel a spark like the movies described it.
Brooke tried to push her thoughts aside as she walked to lunch with her friends. They were all chattering away about their plans for the weekend, but Brooke couldn't seem to focus. All she could think about was Aneesa and how she couldn't wait to hang out with her again.
"Brooke?" Faye said
"Brooke!" Vee said again to get Brookes attention as she watched aneesa walk around till she sat down by Brooke
"H-hi Neesa!" Brooke smiled but brooke couldn't help the fact her boyfriend started a little to long at brooke.. he was jealous of aneesa.. ?
"Hey guys.. I'm super sorry my locker wasn't budging.." She laughed
"Well i'm Faye! we all have classes together and with Brookes boyfriend.." Faye rolled her eyes at ben as Aneesas face white paler.. she seemed sad?.. upset even?
"yeah. i'm ben and i'm dating brooke" he said trying to wrap his arm around brooke's shoulder..but she nudged his arm off..
As lunch came to an end, Brooke made her way to her next class. She was relieved to see that Aneesa was in the same class as her. They smiled at each other and took their seats. Brooke couldn't help but feel giddy every time she looked over at Aneesa.
As the class went on, Brooke found herself daydreaming about Aneesa. She couldn't believe how cool and confident she was. Brooke had always been the soccer star at Sherman Oaks High, but now there was someone who was just as good as her. She felt like she had finally met her match.
After class, Brooke made her way back to her locker. As she was gathering her things, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Ben standing there.
"Hey babe, wanna watch some basketball with me?" Ben said But Brooke had a soccer game today.. did he seriously forget..? she was lying to him and herself .. she didn't actually have a soccer game today..
"Oh..! Well.. i'd love too but i'm busy tonight.." Brooke said .. awkwardly shutting her locker. She just didn't feel the same way about him as she used to yk?
As Brooke walked away from Ben, she couldn't help but feel guilty. He was a good guy, but she just didn't feel like they had a connection anymore. She knew that she needed to talk to him about it, but she didn't want to hurt his feelings. The rest of the day went by in a blur for Brooke. She was so preoccupied with her thoughts that she could hardly focus on her classes. All she could think about was Aneesa and how she couldn't wait to hang out.
