The men see Tech's precious ship land gracefully in the same spot, like it never moved. The woman gets off the ship. She speaks with a couple of clones running around, clearing the area.

"That's her?" Wrecker asks, nodding at her.

"Yeah." Hunter says, his attention focusing on her.

The woman walks up to them, crossing her arms.

"Hey there, your ship is a smooth rider, that's for sure." She smiles, pointing at the ship behind her. She crosses her arms around her stomach, wincing a little.

Tech immediately comes back from checking on the clones. "What were you thinking? Have you lost your mind? We wanted to capture that base, not destroy it!" Tech snaps harshly. His brothers turn their heads immediately, they don't really see him lash out at other people.

"I have not lost my mind, thanks, your ship is safe. My former Master told me to do whatever is possible before coming here. Isn't clone force 99 known for the odd and unplanned, uh, plans?" She replies, a bit smug.

"That is true to an extent. But this was not part of any plan, this is pure lunacy. You have destroyed our chances of capturing that base and learning what was inside. And you jeopardized my ship. Explain yourself." He says calmly, but agitation is still in his voice.

"Explain myself? Sir I outrank you." She retorts back, glaring at him.

"Woah, woah, woah, let's restart this." Hunter butts in, cutting off Tech and Y/n's argument.

"Okay...okay, what did you hope to accomplish by destroying that base? It could have provided us with valuable intelligence, and you just blew it up? Do you not realize that there could have been important information inside that base?" Tech voice permanently returns to his normal calm demeanor, but his blood is still quietly boiling.

"MY orders were to rush in here with Master Gallia and eliminate separatist threats along with experimental clone force 99."

"Then why did you think it was necessary to steal my ship then? There is at least twenty different ways you could have destroyed the threat." Tech says.

"Listen, I don't know if you understand what "pressure" is on the battlefield, because I sure didn't see you fighting down here like the rest of us." Y/n says sarcastically.

"Ladies, ladies, relax." Crosshair scolds.

"Oops, my apologies, that wasn't Jedi-like. I'm Y/n L/n, Jedi Knight. I'm hoping you all have names, right?" Y/n continues, ignoring the feud her and Tech were just having.

"Yes, we have names. I'm Hunter, that's Crosshair, that's Wrecker, and that's Tech." Hunter points to each brother, telling Y/n their names.

"Hi!" Wrecker says. Y/n holds her hand out for a handshake, and Wrecker shakes it quite violently. Y/n chuckles, then holds her hand out to shake Crosshairs. He does it reluctantly, even though he's quite enjoying this new Jedi's attitude.

Y/n shakes Hunter's hand firmly, and she holds her hand out to Tech. Her face has a look of reluctance, but she has to get along with these guys enough. Tech shakes her hand, while Y/n glares at him with her (Y/E/C) piercing eyes.

Tech stares at her for a second. The color of her eyes is just so striking. Tech feels something in his body, in his heart. He tends to ignore these feelings, so he does.

Y/n is just plain annoying.

She's impulsive.

She's sarcastic.She's most likely irresponsible.

But her eyes, her eyes are something else.

They're annoying.

Tech can keep telling himself that, but for how long?

"Y/n, I have some pressing news for you." Adi approaches them.

"Oh boy. I'm listening.." She says hesitantly.

"I've been sent that you are going to finally become a general to a clone legion. You earned it, my former Padawan." Adi says, crossing her arms.

"Really?! Which one?! When?!" She cries, her face lighting up. She's always wanted this. She has always fought beside her Master's clones. Now as a Knight, she can finally earn the title, 'General'.

"Well, this is also news for you too," Adi turns to the Bad Batch standing around, listening.

"Jedi Knight Y/n L/n has been promoted to general of clone force 99." Adi concludes, motioning his hand to the 4 experimental clones standing around.

Y/n's eyebrows raise at the same time as Tech's does under his helmet.

"What-!?" She asks in confusion."

What-?!" Tech asks at the same time, in shock.

No, this can't be. This annoying Jedi, leading him and his brothers? Hunter is supposed to be the leader, not a Jedi. "Master Jedi, pardon my offence but this is unacceptable. She can't lead us she's-"

Tech is cut off by Wrecker pushing past him and pulling Y/n into a bear hug. "Welcome to the crew!" He cries, chucking.

Tech looks over at Wrecker in disbelief.

"You sure this is right for us? We don't really have a primary Jedi leading us, we're a defective unit, we're called in when we are called in. I don't understand why she would be with us." Hunter elaborates, talking directly to Adi Gallia.

Y/n scowls at Tech, she didn't appreciate his reaction.

Y/n and Tech both know they are going to be enemies for sure. Maybe not on the battleground, but they both know they won't get along too well.

"I'm certain. Y/n, get to know your new squad. You'll be boarding with them back to Kamino. They will give you a tour of their ship and barracks. You will be positioned at Kamino for a couple days, then return back to coruscant with your new squad for a mission briefing." Adi tells Y/n, giving her a reassuring smile. "You'll do great, promise." Adi walks away, checking on the injured clones.

"Welcome to the team, Jedi." Crosshair mutters.

"Goodluck, it's going to be an interesting ride." Hunter says.

Y/n sighs. She was supposed to be assigned to a huge group, so she can feel authority. Power. Power without much strain from the dark side. Right?

No.

She's tasked with a 4-person group. One of them doesn't hardly talk. One of them is the one's leadership she's taking over.

And another one is one she can't stand.

Great.

Tech looks over at Y/n. "So, how do you feel about being put in charge of this bunch of misfits?" He asks, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"If you don't shut your mou- you know what? Forget it. Let's get off this blue ass planet already." Y/n snaps.

"You may have to shut your own mouth first." Tech chuckles, matching her angry energy. "Look, I don't like you very much. That most likely won't change. But when we're on the battlefield, we will have to work together. So, we might as well make this as amicable as possible. What do you say... partner?"

Tech holds out his hand to shake hers and holds eye contact the whole time. A silent dare to reject the gesture.

Y/n glares at Tech with her (Y/E/C) striking eyes, then rolls them. "I'll tolerate you." She doesn't shake his hand.

Even as a Jedi, Y/n does have quite a temper. I guess that can make a good Jedi if you put your mind to it.

Crosshair can't help but smirk a bit under his helmet. He likes her attitude. It's something he could at least get used too.

"Master?" Y/n calls her to former master. "You should call some reinforcements in, just in case the separatists call in their own." Y/n informs.

"I'm having my commander call them in now, you guys should get going." Adi says, waving her off.
