Chapter 23

Bryn's POV

When Matthew leaves I pick my book back up and continue reading.

Finally back to peace and quiet.

"Hey B."

I look up.

"Omgggg Hannah."

I get up and hug her. Oh how I've missed her.

"So we're still on about the sleep over, right?" She asks.

"Of course."

Hannah gives me all the details about what's will be going on and I can't wait to relax with her.

Two minutes later I see Nathan walk in.

"Han I'm sorry but I have to leave" I say.

"What why?"

I don't even answer I just try to walk out but Nathan catches my arm.

I shoot my head back.

"Nathan let go!"

Nathan pulls me out into the hallway. I finally was able to get my arm loose.

"Why can't you leave me alone!" I yell.

"BRYN! Quit being so f*cking stubborn and listen to me."

Why would I listen to him? All he does is mess up friendships for me.

"WHY!? I had another friend for once and you and Andrew had to ruin it for me!"

Nathan just rolls his eyes.

"Brynlee for his sake that Gavin kid is more of an a*s than Drew and I combined."

What was he talking about? Gavin has never been rude to me.

"Since when? Gavin has always been nice to me."

I can see hate flooding in Nathan's eyes.

"Why do you hate him so much?" I ask because clearly there is something that Nathan is hiding from me.

"Brynlee he talks so much f*cking sh*t about everyone. Drew was so f*cking close to punching him yesterday because of him talking about Matt. I don't give two sh*ts if he was 'nice' to you, I told him to stay away from you because I don't need him talking sh*t about you."

I put my head down.

Was he really that mean to everyone?

"Please Bryn, you're my little sister. I'm just trying to look out for you and don't be upset with Drew, I told him to take you away from Gavin."

I chew on my lip. I feel terrible.

I look back up at Nathan with tears in my eyes.

"I'm sorry." Is all I was able to manage to say.

I gave Nathan a big hug.

"Bryn, don't ever think I would hurt you" he says.

I smile. Nathan is such a great brother.

"Bryn go and talk with Drew."

I wipe away my tears.

"Okay, where is he?"

I let go of Nathan and he leads me over to the Den.

I see Matthew and Andrew talking.

"Is he mad at me?" I ask Nathan.

"Bryn, Drew isn't mad at you. He's been waiting to see if you're mad at him."

I nod my head.

Andrew's back is towards us at the moment so when we walk up to him he doesn't see us.

I go right behind Andrew and bend down. I wrap my hands around him and give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Drewie I'm sorry. I love you so much."

Andrew looks back at me. "Bryn don't worry about it. I love you too."

I blush.

"So we're all good right?" Matthew asks.

I nod.

"Come sit on my lap" Andrew whispers.

I bite my lip.

I go around the chair and I sit on Andrew.

It feels so good to have everything patched up.

Matthew and Nathan are on the opposite side of us talking about who knows what. I have my head leaning on Andrew with him playing with my hair.

"Bryn has Gavin talked to you?" Andrew asked.

"No. The last time he talked to me was when he ended our friendship" I say.

Silence.

"Is that why you didn't talk to me?" He asks.

"Part of it. Matthew was there." I told him.

"Wait seriously?" He exclaimed.

I nod.

"Yo Matt."

Matthew turns towards us.

"You were there with Bryn when Gavin talked to her?"

He nods.

"Did he say anything to you?" Andrew asks.

Why would it matter if Gavin talked to Matthew.

"No, he didn't even look at me." Matthew smirks.

All of the boys start laughing.

What was so funny?

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"Because that d*ck said the next time he saw either Drew, Nate or I he would beat us" Matthew says.

"Why?" I ask.

Matthew said, "He was mad at Nate and for some reason he thought Drew and I would gang up on him with Nate. So he said and I quote, 'The next time I see anyone of you I'll beat you before you have the chance to get anyone else.'"

I cover my mouth. I can't believe that he would say that.

I look up and I look around and that's when I spotted him. I get up from Andrew and begin to walk away.

"Bryn, where are you going?" Andrew ask.

I ignore him and continue walking away.

I hear in the distance, "Brynlee."

I reach Gavin and tap him on the shoulder.

He turns around, "Oh hey, Bryn" he says.

"Did you threaten to beat up my brother?" I ask p*ssed.

He rolls his eyes, "I had to say something. They were being rude to me."

I fold my arms. "So instead of talking to him you would fight him? That's so stupid."

I can see anger being built.

"You wanna know what's stupid?" He says, "Is how you can be such a gullible b*tch to Nate, Drew, and Matt."

There is tears is my eyes. No wonder they told me to stay away from him.

"You called me a b*tch" I murmured.

"Uh no, I said a gullible b*tch" he restated.

I couldn't hold back and I slapped him.

Oh.

My.

God.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to" I tell him.

But before I knew it he slapped me across the face.

I drop to the floor and cry.

Nathan, Andrew, and Matthew come running over.

Nathan and Andrew go straight up to Gavin, but Matthew comes down to me and tries to pick me up.
