(They're in Mae's cave) 

"Is anyone else bored?" Kenji asked from the couch. "We could play a game?" Yaz suggested looking up from her sketchbook. "We could play truth or dare!" Brooklynn said, startling Sammy who was braiding her hair. "Hey! Sit still or it'll be uneven." She scolded the pink-haired girl. "Sorry," Brooklynn smiled apologetically. 

"I'm up for truth or dare," Kenji said taking a seat next to Brooklynn. "Same," Yaz said sitting next to Sammy. "Sure why not?" Darius agreed sitting next to Kenji. "I'll play if Darius is playing!" Ben exclaimed eagerly sitting next to Darius. "Okay uh, I'll start." Sammy scanned the room looking for her first victim. "Alright Kenj truth or dare?" "Easy, dare." He answered. Sammy smirked, "I dare you to do a backflip into the lake." Kenji groaned but stood up. "Okay be right back." He walked out to the lake. The campers heard a yelp, then a loud splash. Kenji came back soaking wet. 

"Okay, my turn." He announced going back to his seat. "Uh, Ben truth or dare?" "Truth," Ben said confidently. "Mkay, what's the story behind your wrist-guard thing?" Kenji asked. The others looked at Ben curious to hear the story. "It's not that long, but basically one day while I was out collecting berries I had a run-in with some compies," "Ugh I hate compies." Brooklynn interrupted. "Ahem?" Ben cleared his throat. "Oh right sorry" She apologized "So anyways, basically long story short I ended up in a fight with the compies  and one of them ended up biting me on the arm." Ben held up his arm and pointed to a spot that was covered by his wrist guard. "After that experience, I made the wrist-guard and yeah that's it." He finished looking at his friend's shocked faces.

 "Wait don't compies have venom in their bite?" Sammy asked Darius. "Yeah normally." He answered. "Wow maybe you really are immortal," Yaz joked lightly punching Ben on the shoulder. "Haha ow." He laughed, rubbing his shoulder. "It's my turn right?" He looked at his friends. "Yeah," Kenji said. "Alright uh Darius truth or dare?" Darius tilted his head thinking, "Uh tru-wait no dare." He said with certainty. Ben smiled "I dare you to not bring up any kind of Dino fact for an entire week." Darius gasped, "how could you do this? I thought you loved me!" He exclaimed. "Sorry a dare's a dare," Ben shrugged. "Aww come on." Darius looked at the boy with pleading eyes. "Ughh come on D, you know I can't resist when you do that." Ben groaned covering his eyes. Darius grinned "does that mean I don't have to do the dare?" "No, you still have to do it." Ben replied smugly. "Damn it!" The Dino-Nerd exclaimed. "Uh can we continue or...?" Yaz asked staring at the two boys. 

"Oh heh sorry," Darius rubbed his shirt sheepishly, "Yaz truth or dare?" "I'll take dare" She answered. "Hmm okay I dare you to kiss your crush." Yaz sighed, "Well if I must." She turned to Sammy and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Awwww" Everyone gushed. "Sammy truth or dare?" Yaz asked the now red-faced girl stroking her hand. "Truth" Sammy nodded. "How would you rank us based on how well you know us?" 

The campers looked at the country girl curious at her response. Sammy bit her lip hesitantly, "Uh I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings." "It's okay Sam we won't be mad." Brooklynn reassured her. Sammy smiled more confidentially. "Okay I'd say, Yaz, Brooklynn, Kenji, Ben, Darius." She answered. "Sweet top three!" Kenji exclaimed high-giving Sammy. "Well I guess it's back to you Sammy." Brooklynn said. "Mkay Brooklynn truth or dare." "Yes finally!" The pink-haired girl pumped her fist in the air. "I wanna do dare!" Sammy grinned at her friends enthusiasm, "Okay I dare you to give yourself a haircut." Brooklynn grabbed a pair of scissors from a nearby table and headed to the bathroom.

 "How long do you think this will take?" Ben asked, "not long I think." Sammy said unsure. Twenty minutes later, Brooklynn came out of the room. Her hair was cut in a pixie-cut that was a little messy but she made it work. "What?" She asked innocently looking at her friend's flabbergasted faces. "I meant only cut a bit not all of it!" Sammy exclaimed. Brooklynn shrugged "I like it." She said sitting back down. 

They played for another fifteen minutes coming up with wild dares and weird ass questions, until Kenji let out a yawn signifying that it was time to stop. "See you guys in the morning," Yaz waved heading to the guest room with Sammy and Brooklynn. "So who wants the couch?" Darius asked the remaining two. "Me!" Kenji rushed to the couch flopping on it like a fish out of water. "Uh I'm fine on the floor, so you can have the chair if you want?" Ben suggested. "You sure?" Darius hesitated looking between the floor and chair. "Ya it's fine, I'll be more comfortable too." He replied. "And I'll take first watch." He added before Darius could argue. 

The cave was protected by the waterfall, but the campers still felt somewhat unprotected, and they felt more comfortable taking shifts even though they weren't on Nublar anymore. "Fine, but only until midnight, then you better wake me up." Darius said sinking into the comfy chair, and slowly drifting off too sleep.

Help I have no idea how to end fics 😭 btw I usually do take requests and I am open to most ships, however I refuse to write any romantic dinostar stuff (Darius x Brooklynn) because that is my least favorite ship in the fandom, and I will not write any romantic fics for any weird/illegal ships, but I'll definitely write platonic fics for them. Lastly I am not very good with writing or describing any sort of kissing in a fic, so if I do make a one-shot that is romance based or anything like that there will most likely not be any sort of kissing and if there is, like in this fic it'll be brief and I wont go into to much detail.
