When they got to the DA's office they walked in and Eddie showed her shield so that she could carry her gun with her. Jamie was in uniform so he didn't have to. They went to the elevators and up to the fourth floor where they were going to meet ADA Perez in her office. When they got to her office Jamie knocked on her door.

Stephanie Perez is a lovely woman of considerable height. She has long black hair, olive-toned skin, and the most shockingly blue eyes you've ever seen. She was pacing the length of her office waiting for the Reagans to arrive. She only hoped that seeing this will do good for Emily and help her move on with her life. She stopped mid-stride when she heard the knock on her door.

"Come on in." She called. They walked in and Eddie closed the door behind them.

"Hi. Thank you for meeting with me this morning," She started, "I hope we can get this behind us, and you," she turned to look Emily in the eyes, "can move on to a better life."

"We're just grateful that this deal is possible so Emily won't have to testify or deal with the trial in general." Eddie replied and Emily nodded. Stephanie smiled and motioned for them to take a seat on the sofa in her office. They sat with Emily in between them.

"Can I see the paperwork?" Emily barely managed to speak loudly enough for her to hear. Stephanie turned and grabbed the paperwork for the plea deal.

"Of course, let me know if you have any questions." Emily nodded. She sat rigidly as she read through the paperwork until she found the summary paragraph. She let out a nervous sigh, took a deep breath, and read it.

Everyone knew she was looking for the line that guarantees he serves 'life in prison with no chance of parole.' They also knew when she spotted it. She huffed a huge breath of relief, the tension in her shoulders melted away, and she nodded ever so slightly.

"Okay, make the deal," Emily says much more confidently as she hands the paperwork back to Stephanie.

There was a knock at the door and a paralegal stuck her head in the door. She looked flustered and upset.

"Steph, they transferred him way too early. He's here." Stephanie went pale and looked to the three in front of her. Jamie stood up.

"Eddie, take Em to Erin's office. I'm going to stay and make sure this gets signed." Eddie stood and wrapped her arms around Emily protectively. They walked out of the office and as far around the crowd of NYPD officers, prison guards from Riker's, and the last person they'd like to run into right now, Emily's father.

Eddie walked Emily to the elevators and immediately brought her up a floor to Erin's office. She didn't bother knocking, she just let Emily in and followed her to the couch.

"Everything okay?" Erin piped from her desk.

"No. We were meeting ADA Perez to look at the plea deal she's offering to Emily's father when DOC transferred him too early. Jamie is still down there, he's going to make sure everything gets signed and her father gets transferred back without any more interference." Eddie replied as she brought Emily's head between her legs.

"Em, baby. You have to breathe." She coaxed. Erin got up and walked to the fridge in the breakroom to grab Emily a bottle of water. When she returned she handed it to Eddie.

"Thanks, Erin, Em, can you take a few sips of this for me?" Emily took the water from her and took slow, deliberate sips.

"I'm okay. It's nowhere near as bad as this morning. I think that's because the medicine is still in my system." Eddie nodded.

"Yeah. I hoped we could avoid something like this. But of course, the DOC likes to do everything on their schedule with almost no respect for anyone else's." Erin chuckled at Eddie's statement because she wasn't wrong.

"Yeah, at least once he signs the paperwork we'll only have his sentencing, and the only thing he's really getting out of this deal is to not be known as a child molester," Emily replied.

"But the important thing is he will still serve life, no parole," Eddie added. Emily nodded.

"I honestly can't believe he's agreeing to the deal but I'm not going to argue. Can I lay down, Aunt Erin? My head hurts."

"Of course, Em. You rest and we'll wake you when your Dad comes up, okay?" Emily nodded. Eddie and Erin went to sit at her desk while Erin worked Eddie kept an eye on Emily.

"She doing okay?" Erin asked softly.

"Yeah, we had to give her the anti-anxiety medicine the doctor gave her from when she was first removed from the house, this morning. She had a really bad attack this morning and nothing else was helping her calm down. I'm just glad my subconscious sensed something was wrong. We woke up and she was already in the shower, she was hyperventilating and close to fainting. She had a panic attack over the fact that she didn't want to run into him today and then we run into him. Not a good day for her. We're probably gonna go home and let her sleep it off or go visit with Pops if she wants. I'm not pushing her into anything today."

"Wow. She's had a week worth of anxiety and stress pushed into just a few hours. She'll probably go home and pass out for the next three days."

"Yeah, I have to find her a good therapist, too. She needs that outlet. She's so much stronger than I ever thought, but she shouldn't have to live like this. We're going to get her where she needs to be but that's going to take time." Eddie replied as Jamie walked in.

"He sign it?"

"Had the balls to try and play games, but yeah he did, they're in the middle of transporting him back to Riker's." He looked at Emily on the couch and frowned.

"She okay?"

"Yeah she had another small panic attack, then her head started hurting so she laid down."

"Come on, I'll drop you two at home and then I gotta get to work." Jamie replied as she rested his hand on Emily's shoulder.

"Baby, come on, let me take you and mom home." Emily sat up and wrapped her arms around him. He holds her to him for a moment and pulls her up so they can head home. He nods a thank you to Erin and the three make their way back to the lobby. They turn in their visitor's badges and walk back to the car.

Jamie held the door open for both of them as they got into the car, before getting in himself and dropping them off outside their building. Eddie and Emily went upstairs and Jamie drove to the precinct.
