Ending- Mizuki

They also told me happy valentines day and that they all confessed their feelings... All but one person was there... Mizuki... I wonder if he may have went down to see the horses. I can't go down until later but I have to check up on them anyways. I made up my mind and went to school. Right off the bat a boy walked up to me with flowers and confessed. That's cute but... I'm going to have to turn him down... I already decided to turn down people who confessed. He insisted on taking the flowers. I hesitatingly took the flowers and he walked away. Classes ended and I rushed out of school to the ranch. I hoped and prayed for Mizuki to be there. When I got there, there was no sign of Mizuki. I looked down at my feet and sighed. I walked into the ranch and rode around with the horses. I went back home to see Enya and Goyo yelling at Mizuki's door. "Hey, what's going on?" I asked. Goyo replied "Enya and I started teasing Mizuki and he got mad and shut himself in his room." "You guys are so mean..." I went to the kitchen. "Now isn't really a good time... Maybe I'll get to see him in a couple minutes." Time passed by and Mizuki has not come out of his room yet, though Enya and Goyo had left him alone. I decided to go see if he would let me in. I approached and knocked on his door. "Mizuki? It's Heroine." He answered. "Anyone with you...?" "No, it's just me." The door opened. He reached out, grabbed me, and pulled me into his room. He shut the door again. "... I thought it would be Enya and Goyo again. What a relief..." He said and sat down. "No, I think they gave up... Or maybe they thought 'we will see him later anyways' or something." Mizuki smiled faintly but as quickly as it appeared on his face it had also disappeared. "I like it when you smile..." I muttered. "What was that...?" He asked. "Oh! Nothing! Anyways... I'm going out for a little bit." With that I got up and left. I want to go find things that have been left behind at the waterfall. I also need to get things off my mind. I get to the waterfall and I sit down on a rock. "What do I do...? My heart races when I'm with him..." Of course talking to myself won't give me answers... I walked up to the top of the waterfall. I looked across the river to see something shining in the sun. "Oh...! But... I can only jump rocks to get over there... What if I fall...?" I thought for a moment. Eh... The waterfall isn't even that tall... I'll be fine... I jumped rock from rock and as I was halfway to the other side I heard a voice call out to me "heroine!" I was pushing off at the exact same time and it startled me and threw my jump off balance. I landed in the river and the current pushed me down the waterfall. As I hit the water my name was called out once again "hero-" It was cut off from me splashing into the water. The bubbles passed by me and sounded in my ears. Hm... The water is actually quite warm... I spun around and faced the surface. Who was calling out to me? As I thought that a figure dived into the water, swam over to me, grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the water. I got out and coughed up water. I felt a hand touch my back and I looked over to see who it was. "... Mizuki? What are you doing here?" He had an angry face and said "I had to talk to you about something but you scared me when you tried to cross the river!" "Oh... So that was you that called out to me?" He nodded still angry looking. "Mizuki, you look mad..." "... No, I'm just worried about you..." His face relaxes and he puts his hand to his forehead. "Hey, Mizuki? What did you have to talk to me about?" "Ah, right. You know it's valentines day, correct?" "Yes, I know..." "Did you get some confessions today?" "A little. What about you Mizuki? Surely you got some!" He shook his head. "I don't talk to others much." He started to blush and he looked at me and I stared back into his different colored eyes. "It's weird... It seems like I've been sleeping for all this time. Without a thought, I would do whatever I was told. Without a purpose to go on. Without a voice to talk and laugh. Without a soul or a feeling in my chest. I..." "Mizuki..." I sat there listening and waiting for what he would say next. After struggling for words, he spoke up again. "... Until you came into my life..." His cheeks turned crimson red as he did not look away from my eyes. My heart skipped a beat as he said that. I too began to blush. He moved closer to me so that we could almost touch. "Mizuki... I-" I was about to say 'I love you' but mizuki cut me off. He said the words I was just about to say. "I love you, heroine." My eyes grew wider and I took a deep breath and said "I love you too, Mizuki!" My eyes filled with tears and Mizuki had grabbed my hand. "Let's go back home... So you can dry off." We walked hand in hand back to the house and I changed out of my wet clothes and put on some new ones. I was drying my hair and I heard Mizuki on the other side of the door. "Heroine? You there?" I opened the door. As I did I saw Mizuki's face bright red. Only for a second though until he pulled my shoulders towards him and kissed me roughly yet passionately. I don't know how long we have been kissing but it seemed like an eternity before out lips parted. "... I love you..." He whispered in an embrace. "I love you too... And I don't think that will ever change..." He squeezed me even tighter and we stood at the entrance on the door with each others body heat.
