It was a normal day within the Lab, Otto was working on one of the actuators making sure it worked properly. I was working on my computer typing up code for a game I've been making on the side. Before I was able to reach for my cup of coffee resting beside me I heard Rosie call out to Octavius saying "Otto, your friend Norman is here!" I look up seeing Norman Osborn, the owner of OSCORP, holding a statue of sorts. In my opinion he is obnoxious but tolerable. Norman chuckles "Nobel prize Octavius!" he chuckled again "We'll be rich!" He makes his way over to where Otto is working. Never mind this man is insufferably annoying. "Norman, not everything is about the prizes" Otto states, not taking his eyes off of what he was working on. Norman goes on to talk about a payment of sorts and his friend he brought. I go back to working on my laptop and decide to take a break from coding and get back to work. I begin downloading a needed file for work, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" I blurted out as I viewed the wait time for the download, the room went dead silent. I look up and see the three of them looking at me, "S..sorry, just dealing with a uh... download... situation" I said awkwardly, "This is my childhood friend and assistant, Y/N he works the computers here" Otto states, introducing me to the two. Me and Otto have known each other since I moved here in the 3rd grade. I give a small nod before glancing at my boss, having a momentary resentment towards him due to him putting me on the spot.

"Hello Y/N" Norman Waves , "Hi" the boy waves, I know I've heard his voice before. I turn my chair back to my desk after giving Octavius "the look" and then grab my coffee, taking a sip. Eventually Norman leaves, saying his farewell. I face planted into my desk from annoyance, then get up and make my way to the bathroom, "Don't mind him Y/N '' Otto states with a slight chuckle. I close the bathroom door and rinse my face off with some water. I exit the bathroom noticing that Otto and the boy have moved to the kitchen and were talking while Rosie prepares snacks, most likely for them I assume.I slump into my seat, checking the progress on the download "ugh 4 hours" I mumble to myself. In the sweetest voice Rosie states "Y/N please come and eat, I haven't seen you eat anything all day!" Her tone is always so welcoming, "No thank you Ma'am I'm perfectly fine with my cup-" "Y/N," Octavius cuts me off, looking at me with a saddened look, he gets like this every time I refuse to eat. I let out a sigh and get up, walking over to the kitchen and take a seat next to Otto. He hands me one of Rosie's delicious double  chocolate brownies and gives me a warm smile, basically his way of saying "please eat something.." I sigh, taking the brownie, dipping it into my coffee before taking a bite.

Otto smiles, resuming to converse with the boy, I believe who is named Peter. Whenever I hear Peter's voice I get a feeling that I've heard him so many times before, unable to place my finger on where. "What about you Y/N?" My thoughts get interrupted by Octavius asking me a question. "Uh... ¿qué dijiste?" Whenever I snap back to reality after zoning out, I tend to speak my home language Spanish. "I never hear much about your life outside of work anymore. So tell me, are you seeing anyone?" Otto asks, giving context to his question. My face reddens a bit, I must admit I've always seen Otto as more than a friend. "I'm not seeing anyone at the moment" I sip my coffee, and as if he reads my mind he states "Well, do you like anyone" out of shock I spill my coffee on my shirt. "Uh... I'll be right back!" I stood up, not realizing I spilled the hot coffee on my lab coat too, "Are you alright Y/N?" Otto asks, "IT BURNS BAD" I blurted as I rushed to the bathroom.

I took off the coffee stained clothing and put them on the floor, "sigh... that was my only white shirt." I groan as I turn the shower water on, I grab my spare clothing that was under the sink and place them on the counter. I look at myself in the mirror. I looked like I just lost a fight with an angry Karen who threw her coffee at me. My face is still red from the conversation in the kitchen. I get into the shower and let the hot water run down my back, "The event is so soon" I mumble to myself trying to think about something else.

(Time skip to after the shower)

"Where's Peter?" I asked Otto who had resumed working on the actuator. He removes his goggles as his chair spins, facing towards me,"He left shortly after you went to shower" "What was he doing here again, something about a book report?" I ask, trying to remember what he was here for. "Ah yes, he was working on a book report about fusion and required an explanation as to how it works" I grabbed my computer and pulled up a chair, sitting next to Otto. "Finally! It's finished!" I turn to Octavius with a bright smile "Looks like everything is prepped for the event tomorrow!" I state while beginning to stim. Otto begins to laugh and it takes me a hot minute to realize why. "I see you're excited for tomorrow?" He says as he wipes a tear from his eye.

"Of course I am, I'm pretty sure you're smarter than Einstein!" I joke, nudging him in the arm. "Besides, what's the worst thing that can happen tomorrow?"

Finally!!! I've been in love with Doc Ock ever since I watched Spider-Man 2 when I was younger and finally decided to write out a dumb head canon for an AU I had growing up. Since I am still a minor, I'm currently dealing with finishing up the last days of 8th grade so I don't know when I'll start writing chapter 2. Also letting you all know now that in this story, Y/N is a Trans Male (FTM) (so in a later chapter I might go over that) and to explain how Y/N has known Otto since 3rd grade is because in this AU /Fan fiction Octavius is 36 and Y/N is 35. Basically Y/N moved to NY when Otto was 9 and Y/N was 8. Ever since then they have been best friends. Otto not knowing Y/N was trans, grew up with Y/N all while thinking Y/N was a guy for his entire life (Y/N's mom was extremely supportive ever since he came out at such a young age, giving him a boy haircut and buying him boy clothes) and at the age of 33 is when Y/N got the transition surgeries. (Y/N never told Otto and instead told him that he had gotten a sickness (that lasted a month) he gets every 10 years) If you are wondering why I'm explaining all of this now instead of doing it throughout the story is because tbh I have no idea how I'm going to explain it.
