Rain to have a look into it.
On the one hand, Rain was aware that he really shouldn't open the thing, but on the other hand, Phayu had only to blame himself for his mocking and teasing.Rain took a furtive look around the room. There were only some interns sitting in a corner chatting. The rest of his co-workers were still at lunch.
Just a glance, that's all he needed. When Rain opened the little black book, he saw carefully drawn-up lists and notes. Some were about the newest project Phayu was involved with, but most were about Rain.
The bastard had written down a spreadsheet of potential computer issues. They were neatly laid out, too.
Usually, Rain liked a good list, but right now, he had mixed feelings:Computer does not turn on (Maybe unplug it > Rain is too smart for that > the idea needs consideration)
BSOD with clever message (Something to show humour > need to make Rain pout)
Screen a jumbled mess (software issue)
Hardware issues … could sabotage the computer > pull out stuff > kicking it (Too far?)
Keyboard malfunctioning:
> Option 1: Maybe spill coke on the keyboard? … or tea? (Rain likes iced tea.)
> Option 2: Remove some keys from the keyboard (maybe they spell 'cute boy')
Screen says, 'go out with me' (Boring so far. Needs work.)Rain's heart was beating out of his chest when he read all those notes. Sky seems to be correct, after all.
Phayu had a strange way of showing his feelings, though. Here, in this book, they were all laid out clearly. Each page was signed with a little tornado, with the thickest eyebrows Rain had ever seen. It was adorable.Rain continued to leaf through the pages. Then, halfway through the book, he stumbled across a drawing.
Was that supposed to be Rain? That bastard. If the picture weren't so cute, Rain would be pissed off.Phayu had drawn a very grumpy chibi of a bunny Rain. The figure in the drawing was pouting and balling up its fists in indignation. Steam came out from its ears.
If it had been coloured, Rain was sure the face would have been bright red.
Underneath the picture was a caption.
'Mission BSOD was a fail. Still, I almost melted when he got mad at me. He looked like a little bunny rabbit, ready to fight. I just want to tease him more now. He's so beaut…'
Before Rain could finish the line, somebody ripped the book out of his hands. Rain yelped as a strong body pushed him against Phayu's desk.
"Nong Rain! What do you think you are doing? Has nobody ever taught you that good boys don't just take stuff that isn't theirs?"
"P'Phayu. What are you doing here?" Rain blurted out.
"Haven't we talked about this, Nong? It's Khun Phayu for you. Especially now that you are in trouble. You have been very naughty." Rain shivered in the man's hold. He looked around the room frantically, but nobody else was there.
"Looking for somebody? Did you forget that it's P'Arm's birthday today? Everybody went to the canteen to celebrate. When I didn't see you there, I came here to check. But look what I found—a very, very naughty boy."
Phayu leaned forward to whisper into Rain's ear. "Did you see all my secrets? Hm? It's true. I have been interested in you ever since we had the interview. It was just curiosity at first, but now things have changed."
Hot breath hit Rain's ear, and his brain malfunctioned. Far away, he knew that he should be indignant by the way the taller man leant into him. But his worry seemed so far away, not surfacing in his consciousness.
Phayu started to nose along Rain's neck, and Rain let him. A small moan left his lips unbidden.
"Rain, I need to know if you want this too. I want a clear answer. Do you understand me?" Rain nodded. It made Phayu frown, but he continued nonetheless.
"You have seen my book. I am sure you know what this means, cute boy. I like you. If you agree to take this further, beware. I will not stop teasing you. If you become mine, I will NEVER stop teasing you. Go out with me." It wasn't a question, but Rain knew he had a choice.
Phayu blew hot breath along Rain's neck. "Ah." Rain's brain was already foggy. How was he ever supposed to answer the man if he continued like this? He pouted, and Phayu, the bastard, chuckled.
The sound gave Rain enough room to gather his thoughts. With the last shreds of self-awareness, he pushed Phayu away.
"You know, you are a real piece of work, right?"
Phayu had the gall to look smug.
"You have set me up with silly games since I started working here. So why should I go out with you?"
"Because you like it when I tease you, and you think I am hot," the taller man replied instantly.
Rain couldn't help but grumble. "Why would you think that?"
"Because you have been complaining about me to Sky, of course."
Did Sky rat him out? The traitor.
"Don't jump to conclusions, naughty boy. Your friend merely told Prapai that you wouldn't shut up about me. I put two and two together. Do you remember the bathroom on your first day? I could see it in your face. The way you reacted to me and let me push you."
Right. The bathroom. That felt like a lifetime ago.
"Well, I…" Rain hesitated. He knew he wanted Phayu, but he couldn't seem to find the right words to say so.
Maybe Phayu would understand if he showed him. Rain stepped closer to Phayu and pulled him in by his shirt.
Their lips connected clumsily at first, but soon a strong hand wound its way behind Rain's head, taking charge of the kiss. Phayu licked a stripe over Rain's closed lips. The move startled a moan out of him, and Phayu took the opportunity to taste.
Rain's thoughts stuttered to a halt when Phayu rocked forward. He was hard. They were at work. Anybody could catch them at any moment.
These sudden thoughts felt like a bucket of ice water being dumped over Rain's head."P'Phayu, stop."
The taller man went still immediately, waiting.
"Phi, we are at work. What if somebody sees us?" Phayu's eyebrows drew together, and he seemed to take a minute to process Rain's words.
Somehow it made Rain feel proud to see the impact he had made. Perfect Phayu's facade had cracked—at least a little.
"Khun, not Phi. Do try to remember." There it was, the teasing.
Rain could feel the pout forming on his lips. There was absolutely no way to stop it. What made it better was the fact that he knew what it did to Phayu."Phi! Yes, you heard me. Phi. Let me tell you something. I will go out with you, but I will not call you Khun. Instead, I want to stand by your side and call you whatever I please—boyfriend, hubby, maybe even daddy,” He said. "I can handle your teasing. The question is, can you handle me, too?"
Phayu's eyes lit up at the challenge. He came closer to Rain and leaned their foreheads together while looking deep into his eyes.
"We only find out if we try. Let me hear it again. Will you go out with me?"
Rain smiled, "Yes, I will go out with you." He brought his hand to Phayu's hair and loosened the hair tie.
"What are you doing, my boy?" Rain leaned back and carded his hand through the dark locks.
"I have been dying to do that since we first met. Fuck! You look hot."
Phayu licked his lips. "Brat. Do I need to remind you that I don't like rude boys? Don't worry. I will teach you some manners. And when I teach, I teach to the core."
Rain almost whimpered at the promise. He planned to misbehave a lot.
