Mike Wheeler and Y/n L/n never spoke to each other because their friends weren't sure about them both. Mikes friends thought that Y/n was a spy trying to get information from them.
Y/n's friends thought that Mike was trouble, just because one of her friends
(Becca) boyfriend got into an argument with Mike and she thought he was trouble ever since.

Mike always wanted to talk to Y/n but he didn't wanna upset his friend group by speaking to her. Y/n also wanted to do the same but she doesn't wanna lose Becca to it.

-At lunch

Mike saw Y/n talking to her friends while his were talking about something else that had to do with Dustin's love life. El liked Mike so she tried convincing her love to him but he wouldn't listen to her when she would speak to him, which made her completely upset because she soon started to realize that his eyes were always focused on Y/n..and that made El jealous.

"Mike?" Dustin said as Mike quickly turned his head to look at him.
"What's up?" He asks as Lucas shakes his head.
"Were you even listening?! This is very important!" Dustin said as he rolled his eyes.
"I really don't think it's that important, Dustin." Max said as Dustin glared at her.
"It really is important! I got my first girlfriend and she's amazing! Don't you think that this is important?" He asks as he looks at all of his friends.
-"do y'all not agree?" Dustin said as no one responded to him.
-alright then, I guess it isn't important." He sighed in annoyance.

Mike started playing with his food as El began to speak to him while the others listened.

"Mike?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you like Y/n?" She asks as Mike looks up at her and chuckles nervously.
"No..what makes you think that?" He smiled slightly, clearly trying to hide his feelings for her.
"No way Mike would like Y/n.! She could be a spy! She could be working with some bad people." Lucas said as Max rolled her eyes.

"I told you guys that she isn't a spy! And she's definitely not working with any bad people." She said, sounding pretty frustrated.
"In my opinion she's working for bad people." Dustin said as Max flicked a piece of corn at him.
"What was that for?!" He said as he looked for the piece of corn while the others kept speaking about Mike liking Y/n.

"You've been staring at her this whole time." El continued.
"Uh, no I haven't.." he said as he tapped his fingers on the table anxiously.
"It's pretty obvious that you were staring at her." Max laughed.
"I wasn't staring.." he mumbled.

"So you were admiring?" Lucas smirked as Mike shook his head.
"No..it's not like tha-"
"Oh, it's like that." Lucas cut him off Mid-sentence, wiggling his eyebrows up and down as Mike chuckled softly.
"No, Lucas! It really isn't like that..I don't have any feelings for her." Mike said as Max rolled her eyes,
"You do, and don't deny it because it's obvious."

Mike sighed as El looked over at Y/n who was laughing with her friends and she couldn't help but wonder how she could be so beautiful while just sitting there and laughing without looking awkward. El was jealous of her, even though she knew she was beautiful herself. She looked away and looked back at her friends.

"We should so call her over.!"
"Call who over?" Will said after Lucas said that.
"Oh, you know..Mikes crush." Lucas said while looking at Mike.
"She's not my crush." Mike glanced over at Y/n while his cheeks turned into a light shade of pink, clearly blushing.
"Mike has a crush on Y/n?" Will asked looking over at Y/n.
"I could see why." He chuckled softly.
