Trivia: He's very protective of Charlie, but also very petty and jealous towards those that he thinks will try to steal her away from him. He has a strong sense of pride, very high standards, and a low tolerance for those who are incompetent. Charlie was completely unaware that he was sentient until he revealed it while saving her from an attempt on her life a few months after she adopted him, simply thinking that he was just smart. He enjoys listening to Charlie's dreams and loves the way that she pets him and rubs his belly. He possesses a humorous and somewhat scientific thought process that is inherently different from that of a Demon's. He thinks that Demons typically focus too much on self-gratification when they should be focusing on more important things, such as their goals and careers. He offers to let people touch his paw pads when they're sad. His relationship with Charlie was the first positive one that he ever had. He's somewhat overzealous and quick to seek gratification, which results in him often jumping the gun and causing problems. Due to his past and the abuse that he suffered from his creator, he's somewhat unnerved by dog training techniques. He dislikes taking on his True Form in front of Charlie, due to how much it scared her upon first seeing it. Charlie named him after Dante Alighieri, the writer of the Divine Comedy. He possesses a cute, high-pitched voice while in his Small Form, but it becomes baritone and much deeper upon entering his True Form. He once spent several hours crying simply because he was separated from Charlie and thought that she abandoned him. He thinks that Vaggie is the best of all Charlie's romantic partners, due in large part to her knowing some of the best spots to pet him and sneaking him treats, as well as her support of Charlie's dreams. Due to their canine characteristics, he finds Hellhounds to be attractive. He always tries his best to please Charlie. He has a habit of lurking in Charlie's shadow. In his True Form, he can carry two people on his back. While in his True Form, he can unintentionally cause small whirlwinds simply by vigorously wagging his tail. He loves his collar and views it as proof of his bond with Charlie. Charlie loves how fluffy and soft his fur is, and finds him attempting to be serious in his Small Form adorable. Charlie briefly considered naming him Cerberus or Orthrus before ultimately deciding on Dante.
