Chapter 10

9:00 AM Thursday

Eugene woke up, he had a good feeling going within him. Eugene got himself ready for the day, he bathed his son, and went down to the lobby to have breakfast. Aries and Rei were sitting at a table, Eugene and Lucky went to go sit with them. "Hey, Eugene!", said Rei. "Hey Rei, hey Aries.", said Eugene. "How you doin'?", asked Aries. "I'm doing well, thanks.", said Eugene. "How are yourselves.". "We're doing just fine.", said Rei, Scott went over to their table and said, "I told Amber if she goes anywhere near you or bothers you, there will be consequences.". Eugene, Aries, and Rei just looked at each other, then back at Scott. "Well, that's good.", said Eugene. "You men have a good day.", said Scott, then he walked away.

For the whole rest of the trip and performances, Eugene was never bothered by Amber again. Eugene was very happy.

7:00 PM The following Thursday

Eugene came back to the hotel from their final performance in Brisbane. Eugene was talking to Jr on the phone. "What was Brisbane like?", asked Jr. "It's beautiful.", said Eugene. "I wish you could've went.". "Why couldn't I?", asked Jr. "Scotts rules, the only plus one I could bring was Lucky.", said Eugene. Then, Eugene heard a knock on the door, it was Amber, Eugene ignored it. "Who's that?", asked Jr. Eugene sighed and said, "There is this one Viola player named Amber, she is the worst.", said Eugene. "She has been making the trip hell for everyone.". "How?", asked Jr. "All she does is bitch and complain, and apparently she has entitlement over me.", said Eugene. "Well, you gotta respect...", before Jr could finish, Eugene cut him off by saying, "You don't understand, she doesn't respect me, she doesn't respect anyone here, she thinks she's boss when she's not.". "Well, I...", Eugene cut off Jr again by saying, "You haven't met her Jr, don't say you know.". "Ok...", said Jr, backing off. "Anywho, how's the kid?". "Lucky's having a blast.", Eugene chuckled, "I figured.", Jr replied, "When do you leave?". "We leave Saturday.", said Eugene. "I'll be there when you get home." , said Jr. They said goodnight to each other, and hung up. A few minutes later, he got a text from Sam reading, "Hey Eugene, we're having a sleepover party in my room. Do you and your kiddo wanna swing by?". Eugene replied with, "Yesss, be right down.".

Eugene made sure his room was locked and secured. Eugene and Lucky brought snacks and blankets for the sleepover. The two arrived at Sam's room, Eugene knocked on the door and Sam opened it, "Come on in boys!", he said. Chase and Azure were playing Uno and Aries and Rei were playing video games. Later that night, they all combined for a game of Mario Kart; then afterwards, Dance Dance Revolution. Finally, they all watched a movie. It was about 1:30 AM and they all passed out about 3 quarters into the movie.

That night, they had a blast. They all slept, peacefully...
