New beginnings

I fucking hate this place. I hate these people. I hate everything about this fucking family. They took me away from my mom and dad, but they don't understand shit about me. They think they can just be all nice and shit and make everything okay. But it's not okay. It's never going to be okay.

I'm stuck in this house with my cousin and these strangers who call themselves my family. They're all trying to get to know me,

So when they finally introduce me to my grandparents, They start talking about their old stories and traditions, and I'm bored out of my fucking mind. I don't want to be here. I don't want to be part of this family.

I excuse myself to go to the bathroom, and I call up my friend. We start talking about piercings, and I remember how I've always wanted to get one. So I grab a safety pin and do it myself. It fucking hurts, but I don't care.

When I come out of the bathroom, everyone is looking at me like I'm some kind of freak. My uncle starts yelling at me, saying I'm grounded and shit. And my grandparents are telling me I have to take the piercing out.

But I'm not going to fucking do it. They can't tell me what to do. I'm not some little kid anymore. I'm sixteen, and I can make my own decisions. They don't understand that.

My sister tries to talk to me, but I just tell her to fuck off. I'm not in the mood for her bullshit. I'm not in the mood for anyone's bullshit.

I storm up to my room, annoyed and frustrated. Putting on my headphones and blasts the  music, hoping to drown out the noise

I take a deep breath and braces myself for the difficult conversations that lie ahead. In that moment,

Alessandro bust through the door looking at me with a mix of anger and concern. "We're not forcing anything down your throat," he says, his voice low and controlled. "We just want you to understand that we're here for you. We may not be your parents, but we care about you and want to help you in any way we can."

scoffing . "Yeah, right. Like you care about me. You don't know anything about me, about what I've been through.

My uncle takes a step closer to him. "It's not like that, Kamron. You don't know how dangerous this world can be."

Rolling my eyes . "I've been through plenty of danger, thank you very much. I don't need you to protect me.

As Alessandro leaves, i slumps back onto his bed, feeling exhausted. I know that I'm going to have to face his wrath tomorrow, and I'm not looking forward to it.

The next day

As the sun rises, i gets up and gets ready for the day ahead. Im knows that I've  have  to face Alessandro, but I can't  keep running away from my problems. taking a deep breath I head to his  office.

Alessandro is already there, sitting behind his desk, looking stern. I take a seat in front of him and braces myself for the lecture that's about to come.

Why did you get the piercing

I take a deep breath and looks my uncle in the eye. "I'm sorry," i says, "I know I messed up. I just.. I thought that getting a piercing would make me feel better.

Alessandro studies him for a moment before sighing. "I understand that you're going through a tough time, Kamron. But that doesn't excuse your behavior. You need to understand that there are consequences for your actions. You're grounded for a month,

"But," Alessandro continues, "I also want you to know that I'm here for you. I may not be your father, but I love you like you're my own son. I want to help you through this difficult time, but you have to let me in. You can't keep pushing people away, Kamron. You need to learn to trust again."

Now let's work on rules that will work for the both of us
