part 1 || fantasy movies

the day started off boring at work , video verns. not super surprising that it was boring. i mean it can be pretty boring around here. especially without friends. and in some cases i don't have many friends. sophie is really the closest i have to a friend. during school i talked to a few people that i would maybe consider my friends. but now it's summer so sophie is the only person i've really seen. to be honest i'm not very well known. not to mention i only moved her last year. so to most i'm consider a new kid.

"bella! it's your turn to sort the videos!" sophie yelled throughout the empty store.

i walked near the fantasy isle and sorted the videos. a few minutes after sophie went back to the cashier job the door opened and made a ding sound.

"welcome in" i heard from sophie in a distance. i continued to look through the videos until i saw a tall boy in the corner of my eye look through the videos a few feet away from me.

i looked up and turned my head towards him. in which he was already looking at me but quickly snapped his head back down. trying not to be weird and noticeable that he was staring. i smiled to myself and looked over at the video he was holding in his hand. it read "lash if the titans".

"you have good taste." i said smiling at the curly haired boy.

"oh thanks. you like lash of the titians?" he asked while looking amused by the conversation.

"yeah its great. i love all those fantasy movies." i said smiling while we held eye contact. he looked stunned.

"you like fantasy movies?" he had an amazed expression across his face.

"yeah. i mean maybe we could...watch one together sometime?" i asked very slowly. i could tell he blushed a little.

"yeah i guess." he said awkwardly. he was a little awkward, not in a bad way. it was cute. he was cute.

"my name is bella" i said smiling.

"yeah i can see on your name tag." he pointed to it.

"oh right..." i said trying to hide my smile. i could hear sophie snort a little in the back.

"mines gavin. well i better go." he started walking away until i stopped him.

"wait, don't you need my number?"

"oh is it not the video vern number?" he said with a straight face.

"no" i said giggling a bit.

i gave him my number as he quickly walked off to the sophie. when he walked out of the store i ran over to sophie with my mouth open. she started squealing in excitement.

"oh my god, he was so cute and tall... eeee" i squealed not even being able to finish my sentence.

"bravo" sophie said as she started bowing towards me.
