part 5 || visitors

the next morning

beep beep beep

a loud, annoying, noise shook me up. i squinted my eyes opened, but i couldn't see much it was so bright. what i did see was gavin carefully hover over me and quickly slammed his alarm off. he went back to lay down. i look at the clock and it said 9:45. i stretched my arms kept them above my head when i was done.

"good morning" i heard gavin with his cute morning voice say.

"good morning" i said back. i was too tired to say much, to be honest.

after a few minutes of silence, i finally looked over to gavin and he was already looking at me.

time jump

"are you sure you aren't hungry? we have plenty of food." gavin's mom asked me.

"i'm okay for now. thank you though." i said back smiling. gavin turned to me.

"do you want to go back upstairs?" he asked.

"sure" i said before following him up the stairs.
we went to his room and i bounced on his bed. i sat on his bed looking at his walls and all of his posters and pictures.

"your room is really cool." i said out loud.

"oh, thanks." he said back. a few minutes went by and gavin had put a video in his tv. it was a guy that seemed to be sitting high in a tree, talking in a weird whispering tone.

"so your mom just lets you do whatever you want?" gavin asked as he sat down on a chair with a little orange gun in his hand. i was assuming it was a water gun. at least thats what it looked like.

"i guess. she doesn't really care. she kind of stopped caring after..." i got silent. i zoned out a little.

"bella? you okay?" gavin asked with a confused look on his face.

"oh, yeah sorry." i laughed a little hoping that would soften up the mood.

"um, what we're you saying?" he seemed interested.

"oh, well.. it's kind of a long story." i said.

"i don't mind hearing it. i mean, if it's fine with you."

"well-"

gavin's mom knocked on the door and quickly opened it.

"gavin you have visitors. not too long though lunch is almost ready." she said as gavin went ahead and turned off the tv before two boys walked in the room. one of the boys with a black hat on looked me up and down while smiling.

"hello gentlemen. what brings you to my part of the region today?" gavin said to the two boys. i smiled to myself. he is such a dork.

"we just want to get a video, dude." one of them said.

"wait don't i always see you two guys hanging out with shane bagwell?"

"yeah well we used to. he was so annoying we stopped." the other guy said and shrugged.

"okay. which one were you thinking?" gavin asked while adding a little spin with the gun.

"what about that one with michael jackson?"

"yeah, yeah, captain eo!"

"no can do, brethren. last time someone borrowed that one, they lost my 3-d glasses." gavin said back.

"okay what about the bigfoot video?" the guy asked.

"excellent choice. i was just watching that one myself." gavin said before pushing a button on the tv remote making the video pop out.
the guys grabbed the video and gave gavin $3 for it.

"later dude." one of the guys said while chuckling.

"later hottie." the other guy said winking while walking out the door. i rolled my eyes. so did gavin. i got off from the bed.

"well, i should probably go on home." i said giving gavin a smile.

"okay. oh, we are taking a hike to deer cliff falls on Wednesday at 10:00, if that's cool with you. i mean, i don't know how you feel about hiking." gavin told me.

"oh yeah, of course i'll come." i replied.

"okay that sounds good. do you want me to drive you home or anything?" gavin asked.

"that's okay, i can just walk. my house is only like 10 minutes away." i said to gavin.

"okay well i see you later." gavin said.

"yeah, thank you for having me over." i smiled to him.

"you're welcome, you can come over anytime." gavin gave me a quick smile. it got a little quiet. we were just standing there not saying a word and just making eye contact. maybe for a couple straight minutes. i tried to break the silence.

"okay, bye." i smiled turning around.

"bye."
