'Myra, should we be scared?' Her voice bursts inside of my like bubbles in a soft drink.
'Iris?' I ask the voice... I know she's there but is it her? Or is it someone else?
'No. It's Narla.' Her voice low and shaky.
'Narla! Narla. How?' I ask her, she was separated from us. In fact the whole group was split into two. Is this game play by Age? Why are they doing this? What's happening? Where is everyone else? Are they alright? Is everything okay?
'Calm your knickers Myra.' Narla perks up. I wish I could hug her, I've missed her so much.
'Narla?'
'Yes?'
'How are you doing this?'
'I don't know My. It seems like as soon as we were separated I gained some sort of power. Like the impact activated something and some of us gained power or immortality.' She explains her voice in thought.
'Wait. How?'
'I don't know. Chase says that we were separated by some sort of force and what's even weirder...' She drifts off her voice getting weaker and fainter.
'It was a source of power, the same type of power that you have. It was created by a stone.'
'So the same sort of thing that's in my blood?' I ask her.
'Yeah, well it makes sense doesn't it?'
'No it doesn't, I was raised believing that there was only one stone. The stone that's divided between Sven Halder and I.' I tell her.
'Well thing about it. This is the only thing that makes sense. The reason why I have telepathy, there's definitely more stones. Search the library's for old folk legends of reports. We need to figure out this.'
'You're telling me.' I huff out.
'Where are you guys?' I ask her.
'Somewhere in Australia.'
'We need to find a place where we can meet.' She adds on.
'It's impossible.'
'Not if we have a spot where we know to go.'
'We're broke and have no money Narla.'
'That's the funny thing. People all around us have been giving us shelter, food, money and we even got a car. I think Sense's have an idea on where we are and will go. They're smart and so are we. 'We'll meet soon, I promise.' She whispers.
My eyes open quickly. She's not here, it was a dream. But, maybe it was her. Maybe she does have telepathic powers.
If not I can't decide if it was a dream or a nightmare. I stretch and yawn out loud. I look around the room.
I don't even remember getting into a room.
"Morning sleepy head!" Iris yells and jumps on top of me.
"Get off of me! You're squashing my insides!" I scream.
"Doggy Pile!" Max screams and jumps on top of me.
"Get off of me! I can't breathe!" I scream.
"You can breathe, that's why you're talking." Iris says.
"Exactly and we have a big day today." Max says.
"Get off me, please!" I pleased.
"Alright, alright, don't get your knickers in a twist." Max says getting off of me and Iris.
"Your knickers'll be in a twist of you don't get her off of me." I say trying to move Iris off of me.
"Come on, Iris move your butt and get off of her."Max says pulling her off me. Iris falls to the floor with a clump followed by laughter.
"That must've hurt." Max says looking down at her and putting her arms on her hip.
"Nope." Iris says jumping up but bumping her head on the side of her head.
"Ouch! Freaking hell! Who put that bed there?" She says holding her hand to her head.
Max and I look at each other then burst into puddles of laughter.
"Kar-Karma's!" I give up on trying to finish the sentence.
"Oi! What are you guys doing up here?" Azar barges into the room.
"Sh-Sh!" I begin getting my words through laughter and snorts.
"She bumped her head!" Max says after regaining herself but then failing and falling back into laughter.
"Okay..." Azar says looking between us weirdly.
"Anyways we've got a big day today. A really big day." He says puffing air out of his mouth.
"I spoke to Narla." It falls from my mouth.
"What? How?" They all say in unison.
"I'll tell you when we're all here. But we are being watched, and some of you may have powers or immortality."
"Sick!" Max says, she knows something that we don't know. I can feel it, I can even see it in her eyes.
'Always take note of your senses, listen to you're guts.'
The assassins note. The thing that's built inside of us, the thing that we live by.
The thing that keeps us alive.
"Ah, here you guys are, I've been looking for you for ages." The middle aged woman looks through the door.
"Hey Mrs. Chal, sorry we just woke our friend, Myra." Max smiles.
"Oh darling! What a terrible fall you took. How are you doing?" She asks me while feeling my forehead.
"I'm doing fine thanks, apart from remembering entering a room and falling over I'm fine, thanks." I say looking towards my friends. Well that explains waking up in a mysterious place.
"That's lovely, I prayed for you to have a quick recovery." She smiles and holds my hand.
"Thank you again, I feel perfectly fine." I smile as she leaves the room.
"So instead of telling me what happens you decide to wake me up by jumping on me." I say crossing my arms and death glaring Iris and Max.
"Sorry but we decided to sleep in and talk about everything over a brunch." Iris speaks up and Max nods.
"She's right, Alex and I just woke up Xavier. We have a lot to talk about." Azar says.
"Any you taking to Narla and what you said before you fell over." Max says.
"What? What did I say?" I ask them.
"We need to talk with everyone here Myra. You need breakfast and a swim. There's a pool somewhere, we have money and a car. Mrs Chal is giving us everything we need. Everything's going to be okay." Iris assures me and gives me another hug. But I can't help but to notice the wariness in her eyes. Everyone walks out of the room, I grab Azar's shoulder before he could get out the door.
"Azar."
"Yes?"
"What did I say."
He gulps
