***************DRAAMMAAA!!*************
"Um, you look go-gorgeous," he stammered, his eyes fixed on her. She was dressed in denim shorts, a simple half-tucked white shirt, and sleek black boots.
"Thank you!" She smiled returning the compliment. "You look great too! I love the new hair," she said, looking at his man bun and mullet.
"Yeah!" He chuckled softly.
Interrupting their conversation, Jungkook suddenly interjected, "Um, you guys keep talking! Jimin and I have some work to do!"
Confused, Jimin frowned and asked, "What work?"
"I'll explain on the way!" Jungkook pulled Jimin away, their voices trailing off.
As they watched the two of them argue and walk away, Taehyung reassured her, "Don't mind them! They're just..."
"I know!" She interrupted. "They're really sweet... giving us some 'space' "," she said, gazing at them with a warm smile.
"Listen, Ara, we should really talk about what happened--" he began.
"Um, can you please explain the dorm procedure?" she interjected, avoiding the question.
"Oh! Of course!" He chuckled softly. "So, here's the deal! We have around 60 trainees yet, and since our company is relatively small, there aren't many rooms available. There are 15 rooms, so roughly, um 4 people in a room," he explained.
"Girls and boys together?"
He took a deep breath and answered, "Unfortunately, yes. We're not that big yet, so we can't afford..."
"Yeah, no, um, I understand. Thanks!" She smiled. "So, um," she continued, "do we get to choose our rooms or...?"
"Yes! We have the freedom to choose!"
As she stood there contemplating what to do, she felt the gaze of a few pairs of strange, creepy eyes filled with hatred and jealousy. She frowned and instinctively looked away, feeling uncomfortable.
"Here!" Taehyung noticed her discomfort and handed her his long black coat. "Wear this!"
"Th-thanks!" She bowed slightly, accepting the coat from him.
"I would suggest not wearing shorts outside the training room or dance studio," he added. "Not everyone is blessed with such a good physique," he chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.
"Copy that!" She smiled back. "So, since Jungkook introduced me to you two as his friends, I assume you three are roommates?" she asked, putting on the jacket.
"That's correct!" he replied. "Do you mind if I join as well?" she asked. "I'd feel more comfortable staying with people I know a little, rather than some random creeps!" she laughed.
He chuckled and said, "Haha! Couldn't agree more! We don't mind at all. You're welcome!"
"I meant, if you minded..." she repeated, her smile fading slightly.
An awkward silence enveloped their pleasant conversation. They share a history, after all.
"Definitely not!" he replied, a hint of hesitation in his voice, but also a tinge of hurt by her question.
"Okay, then! Thanks!" She faintly smiled. "Let's go?"
"Oh, yes! This way!" He immediately snapped out of his thoughts and led her to their room on the second floor. The company wasn't yet famous, so the rooms were not spacious.
