"Don't say a word," Isabella commanded with her finger raised as Hattie continued to smirk at her.
"Okay." The woman smiled fondly before holding up a small vial with a green liquid inside. Isabella's eyes widened at the sight, her heart bursting with relief, "It worked! You got the virus out!" The two girls embraced, grateful that the threat of the virus was no longer a ticking time bomb.
"Now we just need somewhere to hide it; we can't risk trying to destroy it here." Hattie knew that the virus was deadly, and in Samoa, they had no way of neutralising it. They just had to hope that Brixton didn't find it.
Isabella looked around the quiet factory, her eyes drifting to the cliff wall at the back, covered in a thin material. Her brain leapt into action, "I know what you can do. Find Jonah and tell him to take you to the cave where they kept the explosives. Place it in there and seal it up, then come back to find me. I need to hack into these guns so that we have a fighting chance."
Hattie nodded firmly, taking in her instructions. She could see Jonah conversing with another man across the way; the quicker they could hide the virus, the better. "You stay safe! I'll be with you soon." Hattie spoke before turning towards her target.
Isabella headed in the opposite direction towards the door to where all the men were gathered outside. She knew she needed to be in close range of Eteon's guns to disable them, yet still detached enough from the fight to go unnoticed by the soldiers.
The sun had gradually set beyond the horizon, and darkness covered the land. Hobbs and his men stood in formation, awaiting the arrival of the enemy. The sound of trucks rumbling down the track met Isabella's ears, and she quickly ran across to a wooden hut beside the factory to take cover.
As soon as she reached the hut, she set her laptop on the side, preparing to start her hack as soon as the weaponry came into sufficient proximity. There were three large trucks and countless smaller vehicles; they all split into a semi-circle, seemingly trapping the Samoans.
Brixton leaned out of one of the vehicles, standing with one leg on the door to hold a higher stance. He glanced over the army, smirking to himself when he saw their lack of guns. Isabella immediately began to disable the guns, waiting for the right moment to confirm their disconnection. She couldn't do it too soon; it would give away the game plan.
"Give me the virus. I won't ask again." Brixton demanded sternly, glaring at Hobbs, who remained in the centre of his men. Isabella wasn't sure what the entire plan was, so when Hobbs began a loud chant, it did take her by surprise.
He spoke in his native language, and although Isabella could not understand it, it still gave off a wave of power that they so desperately needed. Suddenly, all the men around him rose from their kneeling positions, and a huge bellow echoed across the ground.
