The night was cold in the cave. I was tired, in pain, and confused. But I knew I had to keep going. No matter what. So, that's just what I did when I woke up next morning. When I woke up, I noticed the wound on my arm had diminished into a big scar, but no wound. Weird...but ok. I stood up and looked outside of the cave, and saw that it was all blurry. Confused, I walked over to the entrance and reached a hand out, as it was electrified. I jumped back slightly, holding my hand, and looked back at the barrier.~Who put this up?...~I thought to myself,~And how?~ Confused and desiring answers, I put my force shield up, and ran into the barrier, just barely knocking through it, and landing on the ground below with a thud. My ribcage started hurting after that fall, which made running an impossibility. I stood up, and felt my side as I heard small whispers coming from the side of the cave. I didn't show any sign that I knew of their presence, I nearly tilted my head slightly so I could listen to their conversation.
"Kids good. But not good enough."
"Yeah T.D.F.G. Already tried killin' the kid. But somehow, he survived." I heard two deep voices say back and forth, as I put my head down to listen.
"Shhh what's he doin' now?"
"Does it matter? We got the element of surprise. Let's take him." The deeper of the two said, as the silent crunch of rocks could be heard. I knew I didn't have enough time to put up my force shield, by how loud the crunches were. So, I had to try running...I started running, and almost immediately felt the pain in my ribcage. Must've broken something judging by how much it hurt to breathe. So I had no choice but to stop. I heard the thundering feet of my two pursuers on the rocky ground, and whipped around to face them. But before I could make our faces, someone jumped up from behind me and hit the back of my head with something hard. My vision started to darken as I fell over, lying down on my stomach, when one of the two walked over to me.
"Looks like our little friend with two powers, is finally cooperating." He said with a harsh laugh as my vision darkened completely.
