"You gotta tilt ya head back like the white bitches in movies." Dimitri voiced, making Treasure toss her head back and burst into laughter.

It was Saturday morning and the two were enjoying breakfast from the restaurant downstairs in the hotel. Dimitri was trying to be romantic and feed Treasure breakfast in bed. The gesture was indeed nice. Street niggas didn't show a lot of affection. Most of the time they'd give you money, or buy something from a female they saw on Facebook selling baskets for whatever holiday it was. Valentine's Day? Expect a basket with a bear, candy, perfumes, and lotions from Bath and Body Works. Your birthday? Enjoy a few bands of drug money, then hold it up in a picture, post it, and tag him for credit. Christmas? Expect a purse unwrapped unless it came with a box.

That was just the lifestyle. It's what came with the game. Treasure didn't take it for granted. A lot of females didn't understand what came with that lifestyle. The blood, sweat, and tears niggas put in for the money. The long nights on the corner. Taking drugs to get the courage to rob someone's trap house. The scars. The nightmares. The karma.

"Gimmie kiss." Dimitri insisted, eyeing Treasure with bedroom eyes.

She smiled and leaned close, clutching the blanket to her nude body. The two kissed, her body quivering from the gesture. Dimitri grabbed her by the back of her neck, deepening the kiss making her moan into his mouth. Despite his actions towards her, he loved her with all that he had. Treasure was the first person to show him, unconditional love.

They'd known each other since elementary school. Dimitri used to tell her every day she was going to be his girlfriend and it would make Treasure cry. She thought he was so ugly back then. Every time she saw him he had a nose full of boogers and his clothes were always falling off and dingy looking. As a child, she didn't know his mother was a single parent and doing the best she could. She also didn't know that the little boy was learning how to be an adult at an early age. He had to get hisself up and ready for school in the mornings.

By the time they made it to middle school, Dimitri had turned into a mean child. Problematic child to be exact. He stayed fighting and stealing. However, he never gave up on trying to make Treasure his girl. Even after that little fat phase, she went through and all the girls picked on her.

When they made it to high school, puberty treated them well. Dimitri was tall and slim. With no real discipline at home, he could do what he wanted to do. He had tattoos that complimented his brown skin well, and his clothes were more appealing. Always clean, wearing the latest brands, and keeping a haircut. Plus, he was in the streets now. He was making money and bitches loved niggas with money, especially when they were tall, and had dimples.

Treasure, on the other hand, it took her a minute to get into her looks. She lost weight and eventually started playing volleyball which toned her body. At the time her father was a drug dealer, so she too wore the latest fashions and kept her hair done. However, she was focused on school. Boys were the last thing on her mind until Dimitri came and spit game. Then they became a couple.

Treasure didn't even realize what she'd gotten herself into.

The relationship was toxic. The bitches had no respect for their relationship and neither did Dimitri. He felt he could do what he wanted to do because he was so used to doing so his whole life. Treasure cried many nights because of the way he treated her. He'd put her down about her appearance and make her feel like no one else would be with her. Dimitri would cheat on her and pacify her with gifts and dick. Then eventually it went from cheating and verbal abuse to physical abuse.

The abuse didn't take place until Treasure's father was killed. Her mother couldn't stand to live without her father and committed suicide. Treasure was an only child so she was sent to live with her mother's sister who had no kids and didn't know the first thing about raising children. What she did know was that if you were too strict with a teenager, they would rebel. So instead of being an adult to her niece, she became a friend when she needed authority and discipline. It just gave Dimitri too much access to Treasure.
