Anoushka broke up with me.

It was amusing.

She said she kissed Ivan but I didn't believe her.
Even if she did, I didn't care that she wanted to break up because I won't let her. I spent half my life loving her and now that I finally got her, she wants to leave me? Abso-fucking-lutely not. Not only that but Anoushka would never fucking cheat on me. Least of all, with fucking Ivan. Something is going on and I'm going to find out what. Even if that means, not being with Anoushka for a while.

I spent a few hours walking aimlessly around because I needed time alone but now I need to talk to my stepdad. My mum welcomes me home with a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Why have you grown since the last time I saw you?"

I just smile at her. "Is Daniel home?" I ask.

"Yes. In his office."

I nod before walking off to his office. I knock once before allowing myself in.

"You know when you knock you have to wait for me to say come in," he tells me.

I shake my head with a smile. "It's my home, isn't it?"

The corner of his lips curl upwards for a second. "What do you need, Creighton?"

I sit on the chair opposite him. "I want you to create a business proposal between you and Ishan."

"Why would I do that? Weren't you the one that insisted I stopped helping him out?"

I shrug. "I changed my mind. Form an alliance between your company and his. Seal it with a marriage proposal between me and Anoushka."

For the first time since I met my stepfather, I caught him off guard. "Aren't you two already together?"

"She broke up with me earlier." his eyes widen and his lips part.

The second time I surprised him.

"Well...are you alright?" he asks confusedly.

"I'm fucking amazing." I deadpan, tilting my head to the side. "Well I had time to be upset but now I'm getting her back and that starts by burning the alliance between her and that fucker Ivan."

My stepdad's eyes twinkle with mischievousness. "Well, what do you have in plan, son?"

I smirk as I explain my idea to him. I had to tell him my theory on Ivan being involved in Iris's disappearance.

"I'll meet with Ishan soon but from what I've heard. Ivan's father and Ishan settled their business deal tonight, which means that they are already engaged."

"So?"

He rolled his eyes as if I was a stupid kid who didn't understand simple instructions. "It means that it will be difficult to create a proposal between our company and Ishan's. The only way I can do it is if I take down his family's company."

"How could one do that?" I ask.

"Usually a scandal."

I smirk. "Would a kidnapping suffice as a scandal?"

My stepdad meets my smirk with his own. "That would be an excellent scandal."
