"Since y'all asked us questions.."
"We have some for you guys."
"As long as one of the questions aren't about grandkids." Fatima said
Denzel laughed, "I'm going to ask my question anyway."
"Denzel, be serious." Pauletta said
"Denzel isn't my name. You know what my name is."
"Anyway, my question to you both is what is one thing that your parents have taught you?" Pauletta asked
"Well, my biological mother taught me that you can't project your fears onto people, and you need to heal. My mother taught me that just because it has happened before, doesn't mean that it has to happen again. Also, protecting my peace and staying away from no good, nothing ass men. Dad, you taught me that sometimes you have to laugh it off to get through it. Another thing that you taught me is that it's okay to lean on people without feeling like a burden, or having to feel wrong for it." Fatima said
"My mother taught me to find my own direction, and not to follow others. She also taught me that sometimes it's okay to leave people where they are after trying for so long. My dad taught me to go after whatever I want, regardless of how long it takes. He also taught me that there is always a better way than violence. His record long as hell, but that's a story for another day." Zac said
"Y'all need to be motivational speakers or something, but the next question is what's the best day of this year?"
"When I met her." Zac said pointing at Fatima, "there has always been so many rules, and regulations on what I can and cannot do. I was literally looking at a woman everyday for the past couple of years, that was the craziest person to ever know. I stopped looking to my left, and started looking to my right. Nobody will ever know how comfortable it is to be with a woman that actually loves you, thinks of you, and communicates. It's different, but I love it here."
"He really stole what I was going to say" she laughed, "but the day that I came to the precinct just felt different. I started mildly talking to Zac. I'm typically not the person to really come out of my shell. Me along with everybody else realized that I didn't play about him at all. After being in a toxic relationship with a worthless motherfucker, something real came. I thank God everyday for you too. We pray together. I feel Zac's energy everywhere, even when he's not around. That's how I know that's my mannnn!!" Fatima said
"I know that's right. One thing we don't play about is our man baby." Pauletta said while high fiving Fatima
"Y'all really act just alike" Denzel said, "it's crazy"
"That's my twin" Fatima said
"I have my last question though" Denzel said
"Here he go, watch it be about some grandkids" Zac said
"It is, how many BEAUTIFUL grandkids am I going to have? The other ones are a little interesting looking."
Zac stared at her.
"You going have 27 grandkids if he keeps staring at me like that." Fatima said
"27 is a good number" Denzel said
"I was just playing!" Fatima said, "we talked about 3."
"Yep. 3." Zac said
"God is funny. He might give y'all 3 sets of triplets." Pauletta said
"Hell no!" Fatima said, "I promise I wouldn't have no sex after the first two sets."
"We going to be sleeping in opposite sides of the room. Only kisses, hugs, and roses." Zac said
*1 hour later*
They ended up ordering a pizza. They were just chilling and talking. Zac and Fatima went to the kitchen. Zac was leaning on the counter. Fatima was right on him.
"I don't know if I would've made it 3 days." Fatima said
"I couldn't even have made it 16 hours. I made the decision to leave, and come right after you left." Zac said
Fatima kissed Zac. She put her head on his chest.
*in the living room*
"Look at them." Pauletta said
"I would normally hate to admit it, but I love the hell out of them both."
"Right. I said that I wouldn't like any of Ti's boyfriends, but Zac isn't her boyfriend. That's her husband."
"It is. I'm seeing the same thing in them, that I seen in us." Denzel said, "my baby is growing up, and I'm about to cry. I'm happy." A tear dropped from Denzel's face.
"Is that a tear?" Pauletta asked. "I haven't seen you drop a tear in 5 years." She said wiping his tear
"Yeah. They definitely hit my soft spot."
