The first few classes were pretty uneventful. You received praise from the teachers for promptly answering all their questions correctly. Your homeroom teacher even encouraged the rest of the class to look up to you as a role model.

This wasn't anything new to you, but you noticed your peers didn't seem to share the same positive sentiment as your teachers.

They simply kept whispering.

As for Hana, she talked to you in between classes. She acted sickeningly sweet and kept asking if you were doing ok, if you needed her help with anything etc.

She said these things very loudly, so that the whole class was aware of how kind and helpful she was being.

Apart from that, she kinda ignored you and talked with her other friends, who also stared at you and whispered.

This really took you back to the time when the two of you were friends as kids.

Everyone talked about how perfect and angelic Hana was and how... imperfect you were in comparison.

That was your initial motivation to start putting up a front.

When you moved away from Hana, you acted like the most flawless individual in existence. You were able to successfully fool everyone too.

However, now that you're back with her, you can't help but feel insecure.

It was as if people had already decided that you were nothing more than Hana's 'less attractive' childhood friend. They probably think she did you a favor by befriending you.

Hana didn't seem to care that your reputation was deteriorating on the very first day of school. You suspected that she might even be worsening the situation by spreading over-exaggerated versions of your past together.

She knew you were somewhat jealous of her back then. Despite the fact that you've changed, she's probably telling everyone all about it.

Either that or... she's telling them about something else. Something about you that no one could know. But she wouldn't, would she?

You decided to stop thinking about it as you headed to the art club. Painting was a natural talent of yours. It really helped your image of being 'perfect' at your previous school.
