"Think I'll miss you forever
Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky
Later's better than never
Even if you're gone, I'm gonna drive
(drive), drive"

Dione had just finished re-writing a spell to make it more effective and powerful. She was now sketching some designs on the side of the page. It was a hobby she had started many years ago, she often adjusted spells to her liking. She liked to play around with her magic. She made her own spells and created counter-spells for many spells that she found on the grimoires she could get her hands on.

She writes those spells on expensive and good quality paper. She also designs the pages to make them more pleasing to her eyes. She already made six of her own grimoires and was currently working on her seventh one.

The one she was working on was called "Counter" it was basically a grimoire full of counter-spells for her own spells and some spells that she thought would be troublesome if she happened to come across them.

A knock sounded through her door. She continued sketching as she flicked her left hand. The door opened with a creak as her sister peeked her head in. "I just wanted to ask if you could help us with a spell." Hope sounded hesitant and nervous. Everyone always did when they spoke to her.

Dione's icy blue eyes landed on her and Hope felt more nervous than before. Hope didn't know why she felt this way, Dione was her sister, so why was she so nervous? "What kind of spell?" Hope let out a shaky breath before speaking.

"A really accurate locator spell. The thing we're looking for is heavily cloaked so we're having a bit of trouble." Dione seemed to think for a few seconds before she grabbed a pencil and stood up. "Okay."

Hope felt most of her nervousness disappear once her sister agreed to help but it all quickly came back when she and her twin walked towards the living room in silence. Hope prevented her self from sighing in relief when they arrived.

"Can I have a look at the spell?" Dione asked her aunt Freya. Dione inspected the spell as soon as Freya nodded. "What are we looking for?" Klaus stopped pacing for a moment. "White oak."

"Brother you are making me feel dizzy with all your pacing." Kol complained. "Hush Kol. Leave him be." Rebekah rolled her eyes as she was getting annoyed at her brothers constant complaints for the past two hours that they had been trying to find the last white oak. "Well you're–" Kol was cut off by Elijah. "Children please."

They saw Dione write a few things on a blank piece of paper. "This is a re-written version of the spell. The original spell requires a lot of power when it isn't even that accurate so casting that will only be a waste. You can try this one even without my help. It should also break the cloaking spell on the white oak." That was the most words they had ever heard her speak.

"What?" Kol was astounded. "It takes months to re-write a spell. There are significant calculations and you still have to see if it works. How can you re-write an ancient spell in two minutes?" Kol's eyes were wide in interest and suspicion. "Are you sure this'll work?" Marcel's brows furrowed.

"It will. If you don't believe me then fine. But it won't hurt to try. If my spell doesn't work then I'll help you guys cast the other one." Dione rolled her eyes and sat on the arm of one of the sofas.

Davina, Freya, and Hope chanted the spell. There was a moment of silence as the three witches who performed the spell gasped. "It's in Mystic Falls. It's inside a cave where no vampire can leave once they enter it." Freya panted. "Of course it's in that wretched town." Kol groaned. Kol and Marcel glanced at where Dione was to apologize for doubting her only to find the spot empty.

Dione had went to sleep early. She didn't feel like facing two of her uncles during dinner. She wasn't angry, she was uncomfortable with the thought of them apologizing to her. She knew that Davina and Rebekah would make their husbands apologize.

Dione woke up inside a strange place. She sighed. "Where did my magic take me this time?" Dione rolled her eyes before walking around. "Your magic was not what took you here child." Dione turned around abruptly at the unfamiliar voice. She saw a woman with blonde hair and brown eyes. "Who are you?"

"Esther Mikaelson. Your grandmother." Dione crossed her arms. "If you try anything funny I'll bring you back to life and kill you again." Esther chuckled. "You certainly are your fathers daughter." Dione ignored what her grandmother said. "Why am I here?" Dione asked. "I am here to help." Dione raised a brow. "With?"

"I am here to help you find what has been missing your entire life." She spoke vaguely. "Which is?"

"Love."

"I don't want to find love." Dione spoke with narrowed eyes. "Yes you don't. But you need it." Esther smiled. "What do you mean?" Esther didn't answer that question. "Go to a small town called Beacon Hills in California. There, you may find all forms of love."

"And if I don't."

"It is your choice. After all, I'm only a messenger."

Dione mindlessly drew on her sketchpad. She had spent all week weighing her options and all the possibilities. She's been getting these dreams of multiple people her age, some of them younger and older. Dione sighed and put her pencils away. Dione let out a groan at what she drew once she saw it. It was a picture of her and the people she's been seeing in her dreams.

Dione put her sketchbook away when something caught her eye. It was a picture of her and Hope when they were seven, before everything went to shit. Her blonde hair was being untangled by Hope as they were laughing at something funny.

As far as Dione knew, she and Hope only had one thing in common, they both had their father's eyes. Other than that, Hope mostly took after their mother in terms of facial structure, her hair being a mix of auburn and the same brown color of their mother's.

Dione however, took after their father entirely. Her blonde hair, icy blue eyes, and bone structure all came from her father. Dione suddenly remembered how she used to tease Hope that she may be older but Dione was taller. Oh, where did the years go?

Dione tilted her head up to look at the ceiling as she let out a humorless chuckle. She had nothing to lose anyway, her and her family weren't close so they'll hardly miss her. "If I die, then I die. I'll just turn anyway." Dione shrugged as she once again let out a humorless chuckle.

I'll be gone for a while. Who knows, maybe I'll come back after a century or maybe a millennia if I feel like it. Don't look for me.
