"Raon, do you wish for me to show you something really pretty?"
Resisting the urge to say that his human had already had, he showed him the starry night sky, the vast and amazing world, and he showed Raon how to be alive and not just breathing, the young dragon simply muttered agreement in a small voice.
"Yes please, human."
The child's endearing look of confusion made Cale smile, and as if contagious, Raon returned the smile.
He was unable not do it. It was so pure and so full of love. It seemed as though the stars, moons, and planets had collided and spread their lights to create this masterpiece. That is how pretty his human's smile is.
With shaky limbs, Cale rose. Barely able to support his own weight, an additional weight of a chubby healthy dragon was quite heavy on his frail body.
The young dragon attempted to withdraw from his human's arms, but as if on cue, his human tightened his grip on the ten-year-old to thwart his attempt, and without uttering a word, turned around.
Not the one to deny his human what he desires. Raon instead used slight flying magic on the frail redhead in order to make his steps lighter without him noticing either.
This small action that may appear to be insignificant made Raon proud, as he had proved to himself that he is big and strong, fully capable of taking care of his human.
Cale remained walking on the opposite direction of where they were up until he was facing the opposite edge of the cliff. Gently spreading his arms for Raon to settle down, he layed down on the grass catching his breath as if he had ran a marathon.
Eventually, after regaining his breath, he shifted his head to make eye contact with the curious black dragon.
Leaning his body weight on one of his elbows, he tilted his head towards the horizon opposite to the sunset.
"You have watched the sunrise before, haven't you?"
At the question that appeared to be out of the blue, Raon stared at his human with wide, childish, blue eyes before slowly nodding his head. He had failed to comprehend the significance of the question, or how related it is to the topic right now considering that the sun is setting at the moment, not rising.
Perhaps his human had mixed them up? It's okay, he sometimes mixes up some similar words or phrases no matter how great and mighty he is. Moreover, his intelligent but weak human is allowed to make mistakes as well.
His human then grinned, showing his perfect shiny teeth that could rival the purest pearls.
"Well, you're about to see something you've never seen before. Something unique. The moonrise."
Before he could ask his human what does he mean, said human turned his head towards the horizon once again. Following him, Raon's breath hitched.
The moon, it was slowly peeking from the horizon. Like a shy maiden lifting her veil. Revealing the breathtaking view, slowly but worth the wait. The moon was peaking in it's full glory, and despite the lingering colors from the sun it shone brighter than ever, reminding Raon of someone he dearly cherished.
Unconsciously, more of a habit, Raon looked at his human, only to find him already gazing at him.
His dark eyes that were always so deep and mysterious were shining so brightly. And his eyes had reflected the sky full of stars, it appeared to hold the infinite unreaveled secrets of the universe. He could faintly outline his frame in the dark glow of his eyes as well, and it was visible how mesmerized he looked.
