Ch. 1: Welcome to the Family

The handsome man earlier lead me to the living room. On our way there, I noticed that there's a vintage phone cable, but its cable are cut off rather hastily. Perhaps it's only for decor purpose? The wall is painted in muted navy, making the whole atmosphere of the house gloomy. At some spots, there are statues of winged creature.

When we arrived at the living room, it was well lit and comfortably warm there. Very contrasting to the cold main hall. The man sat on one of the armchair, pointing at the sofa.

"Please sit. I would like to ask you a simple question. Answer it all."

"Sure."

"You said you're Yui's older sister, how should we know that you're not lying?"

"I got nothing to hide. Besides, how should I know that she truly stays here with you guys? You could fool me and, I don't know, sell me off to some human traffickers."

"My, my. What do we have here? Another little human.", the sudden voice came from the second floor, revealing the emerging three figures. One is a red head with messy style, very different from the first man I met; one is the shortest with purple hair, he's clutching on to a teddy bear with pirate eyepatch; and the last one is wearing a fedora hat, the owner of the voice earlier.

What does "another little human" mean? Could it be that he refer to my height being short..? But that 'human' remark is unusual.

"Yo Reiji, we still have Chichinasi with us. You dare to steal a start with a new girl?", said the one with red head.

"Mind your manners."

"Smells like... Yui, but not Yui. Right, Teddy?", the purple haired man to the brown bear doll that is wrapped up in his arms take a sniff closer.

"Fufu~ if you're not stealing start, then I'll do.", the one with fedora hat suddenly pops behind me and planted a kiss on my cheek. "I can bet you're sweet."

My eyes widen and I slightly expressed discomfort but I suppress the urge to wipe the spot that he kissed to not offend him. Out of those three, from what I can make of, this mf hat boy is clearly a womanizer, purple head is definitely distant from reality, red head is competitive.

"Who dares wake me up from my slumber.", another person seemed to popped out. His scarlet red eye complimented his purplish white hair.

"Stop being so dramatic.", the red head teased him. But he doesn't react much, a simple eye twitch and tongue clicking can be heard though.

"Now, Shu, does that man say she has a sibling that will come here?", the "Reiji" guy asked, but nobody there is answering.

Until a "not that I remember" was heard near the fireplace. There lies a man with blond hair with earphone cable dangling from his ears. His closed eyelids exhibit a long healthy lashes.

"She's a variable then. I do believe that it is time for introduction."

He starts with the sleeping blond man, Shu. Apparently, he's the eldest there. Then himself, Reiji, is the second eldest. The three men earlier are Ayato, Kanato, and Laito; they're triplets. And the last one is Subaru.

Everyone here seems to be too young to live on their own in such secluded place? Where's their parents, guardians, or someone older? Their niceness is perhaps just a façade. I need to be careful to not offend them.

These are the questions I ask myself but dare not ask them as of now. Perhaps later.

"Well, let me introduce myself then. I'm Komori Yuuka, 19 of age, and yes, we are adopted by Father Komori. Since Father said you guys are our 'far relatives', I thought I should pay you a visit. The main reason I came here because I want to... meet my sister, because I didn't receive any news about her since coming here. Her school also said she's not enrolled there anymore."
