A Quick Trip

I needed to be in the air in an hour and I couldn't wait so I had to get to Sea Tac to take my helicopter to get there. Taylor called ahead to have the helicopter prepped and for my pilot to be ready when I got there. We arrive just as they were finished with their prep and my pilot had not made it yet, but there was a pilot heading to Portland and to the same landing field. They would need to clear it with the pilot and check the seating accommodations. Soon we are on board the helicopter and mine is shut down until my pilot arrived. I am escorted aboard the helicopter and I notice everyone is in military gear. The pilot is not what I expected, she is small and she is ready to lift off. The Steele's are the ones allowing us to ride with them.

Anastasia
It was dads idea to allow this guy to ride with us to Portland. I wasn't happy at all. We had to accommodate for the fuel difference and I am glad we fill the tanks up. My dad is chatting with mr Grey and his body guard during the flight. We make it to the private landing and my cars are waiting for me, but mr Grey's isn't there yet. Probably because they need to be cleared before they can approach the landing fields. Dad offers them a ride to their location. Dad somehow likes mr Grey. He doesn't know him well enough to like him. We get him to his destination and he calls his car and driver and tells them where he is at and to meet him there. He and his bodyguard thanks us and we need to leave for our appointment.

Taylor
She is definitely a general and her father is a sergeant general, the guys with them are two aides and bodyguard / drivers. The pilot made it to Portland and the driver has arrived outside and is waiting to get us back to the helicopter. Christian probably doesn't understand that he got a ride with military personnel he might never get the chance to meet in his lifetime again. I knew though and I was thrilled to meet the Steele's. There were whispers of them being in Seattle and no one was privy to the why of it. The Hyde attack in the hospital cafeteria never mentioned who saved the day. They alluded to a young woman with self defense training disarming him and a man using cable ties to assure he couldn't flee the scene. I had never seen photos of the Steele's. Now I have met them and know what they look like in person.

Ray
We get our guests to their location and head to our appointments. Even though I passed the physical exam to be released to go back to work, I have to go through other tests to assure that I am okay for active duty. I hope I will pass it. I think this is their way of forcing my retirement. So I am very nervous about it. Anastasia knows what is going on and is trying to see if she can help get me on desk duty. That's a possibility and I can do my work anywhere. I kind of like Seattle and miss Morgan. We are keeping in touch.

Anastasia
Sometimes people don't take me seriously because my age and my sex, until they bump heads with me about their disrespect of my rank. They are brought up for their disrespect in front of a disciplinary board. I give one warning and then the second time they face the board. They need to get on board with the facts women are getting promoted based on their abilities to do the same jobs they do, not make comments about screwing their way to the top. I also had something because of my size that they could take advantage of my being a female. A few ended up with their balls kicked back into their bodies and had to have them surgically repaired. I paid my dues to get to my position. Dad has stood by me every step of the way.

I can't believe that we were allowed to get on her helicopter and be flown down to Portland. I hadn't thought they would land at a military landing field. My people couldn't get inside the gates and they couldn't even find out if we were inside the gates. Taylor called them and let them know we were headed to the meeting and to meet us there. The pilot had to be replaced and we had a change in plans and landing area. Taylor doesn't like that many changes so he said he needs to check everything out.

Taylor
A different pilot and landing area is not a good thing at all. I start checking out the circumstances and the pilot along with the landing area. The pilot checked out, but the landing area no so much. I think we are going to drive back home instead of chancing the new landing area. I call the pilot and have him refuel and head back to Sea Tac. I never got the reason our regular pilot failed to make it to fly us here. I did however get the number for the Steele's if we needed a ride back in the helicopter. After explaining the situation to mr Steele he said it would be fine to pick us up in the morning and take us with them, he is also looking into my concerns.

Raymond
I had a few people check things out at the landing area and it is a very isolated area and it looks like Taylor is right it is a set up to grab mr Grey. The new pilot is in on it and the place has been closed to aircraft of any kind for a long time. The pilot knew that. He calls in a report to the FAA and they soon surround the place and take possession of Charlie Tango 2.0.
