-NET POV-

It was already past 10 in the night and yet we were still stuck in the campus trying to finish our final year project paper.

"Guys...I think it's better we continue this at home. It's already late and my mother keeps calling asking when I come back home." Tutor said while starting to pack his bag.

"Yea man, better we continue this tomorrow morning. My ass is already in pain after sitting here for so long." Zee said while groaning and stretching his body.

With that, we all agreed to leave the campus library and went to our respective vehicles to ride back home meanwhile, I drove to the nearest convenience store to buy a pack of cigarettes.

The moment I exited my car, I could hear some loud noise from inside the store.

"Hey, kid you stupid or what?"

It sounded like an intoxicated voice from inside the convenience store.

"Gosh, not at this time."

I couldn't even have the ability to fight back against whoever was making sense inside the store, I was so exhausted. At first, I was ready to get back my to car but later when I was about to turn around, I saw a familiar face perhaps the face showed he was in pain.

"James" I mumbled and quickly got inside the store.

"Hey, what's happening here?" I asked as soon as I saw the man was about to throw a canned food towards James.

"Who..who are you?" The man asked while turning around wobbly towards me.

"You should not be beating the workers here. Should I call the police?" I said while pretending to take my phone from my pocket.

"Ahh...ahhh...no no." The man panicked and tossed the canned food while running away from the store.

I turned my attention to the person who picked up all the cans that had fallen and arranged them in their respective places.

"Hey Nong, you should treat your injury first. Look at your forehead it's bleeding."

Then only James realised the dripping blood on the floor.

Meanwhile, James still has not yet recovered from the whole scenario that just happened. He couldn't believe how everything had gone so quickly.

He thought working at a convenience store would be easy but it turned out to be more challenging than he expected. He wondered if he should start looking for a new job on the first day of his job.

"You frown a lot, James, you'll get old so quickly."Net chuckled.

A cold hand yet the warmest hand that was needed for James touched his forehead, as he looked at the owner of the warm hand he saw Net face smiling at him. "You're going to be okay," he whispered and I felt a wave of relief wash over him hearing from a person he knew just a few days ago.

"And here comes I helped you for the second time. What a coincidence." Net said while closing the yellow lotion cap.

"You should treat me Nong. It seems I helped you a lot."

James quickly woke from his daydream and thanked him for helping me.

"Thank you so much Phi, I owe you. I don't know what would happen if you were not here. Thank you so-
