We were finally at the gates of the tall training building. The large black cars were parked in front.
"We will have to sneak around the back" I said quietly. Nicky nodded. We walked around the cars, rocks crunching beneath our feet. It was pretty chilly now. It's probably around two in the evening. Lunch time. My stomach rumbled in response.
We walked past the side of the training building. Scratches in the stone and rusty chains hung with eerie decoration as a reminder of the past. Thankfully there were no windows at this side to give us away. We turned the corner and stopped in front of the narrow grey mettle door. I opened the door and entered a corridor lit my flickering candles connected to the wall. Thick white spider webs flowed across the room, shimmering in the candle light, and a lone live victim struggled against the intricate design that swung gently in the wind. We headed down in silence.
Sounds of footsteps came from the other end of the corridor. "Great!" I mumbled under my breath. A girl with long brown hair and looked around 14 years old appeared in front of us. She wore grey suite like what all the kids in the primary group wear. Her eyes were fixed on the floor she glanced quickly at us and then back to the floor. Once she was closer to us she stopped and looked at us again. Her eyes widened in shock when her saw me. She straightened in fear and then suddenly sprinted past me and down the corridor behind us.
"I told you, that you looked bad." said Nicky smiling. I made a face at her and continued walking. We made it to the little wooden stairs in the wall. "I'm going to head to the library I need to check something out. Have fun cleaning yourself up." she laughed and walked down the corridor. I rolled my eyes. Why can't I make friends with sensitive people. I grabbed onto the barrister as I was feeling quite weak all of a sudden. Dam it! I griped the barrister for a bit then I headed up the spiral stairs.
I got to the door of my room and swung it open. I walked through the room to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I looked into the mirror and even I was taken back at the site of me. Dried blood and some sort of black liquid was all over me. I hadn't realised how awful I feel, all sticky and disgusting. I grabbed a towel form my built in locker. A hot shower might help. Laughter came from the corridor. Crap I forgot to close the bedroom door!
"Clara? Nicky? Which one of you are in here?" said a voice. Dam it. I'm going to have to reply.
"It's Clara." I replied, now leaning against the door, as if it will keep him out. I frowned at myself. My leg is starting to throb now. My life just gets better and better huh? I bit my lip to contain the pain. A knock came form from the bathroom door.
"It's Seth. Can I come in?" he asked. I turned my head to the left, my face leaning against the door.
"I would prefer if you didn't." I said waiting for his response. My breath creating condensation on the door.
"Why?" he questioned. "Everyone is down stairs having lunch and you're stuck in the bathroom and you won't even let me in." I could taste iron now an indication I have bitten my lip too long now.
"As long as it's just you and you promise not to freak out." I said.
"I promise." he said. I got up from the door and opened it. Seth stood there with a blank expression on his face.
"What happened." I could hear the anger bubbling inside his voice.
"Look it's not my blood it's..." I paused. "Well I don't know what they were but some sort of demonic creature attacked me and Nicky. It's not my blood it's there's." I explained but the look on his face didn't change.
"Explain your leg then" he said looking down at my left leg.
"My leg?" I questioned out loud and looked down to it. It was bleeding and puss was coming out of the cut.
