Shikyou is a amanojaku. Which means she/they are the goddess of death and misfortune.they believe that humans are not worthy of the gods approvals.shikyou made a contract with the oberozukas.more specifically with tsukuyomi(tsukuyomi created the clan).the contract was Akari shall never leave her clan or step outside the gates or all will be cursed.since Akari is "special" shikyou also makes a treaty with the shishikusas. The treaty/contract was,Akari and mai shall never meet or all doom/bell will break out.but since mai and Akari got married,the contract had been broken and shikyou shall behead mai and later curse the oberozuka bloodline.
