I finish dressing and make my way downstairs to at least try and have some of the breakfast Sam made. Even though my appetite was completely gone after that god awful nightmare, he really tries his best when it comes to cooking so I'd feel bad not having any.

"So Sam, what did ya make?"
I ask, walking up to him patting him on the back as I lean over to see his dish, breathing in the beautiful aroma.

"Hey hey! No peaking!"
He laughs pushing me to the side.
"It's a surprise go sit"
Smiling to himself as he points to the table. He was always so sweet, whenever I had a nightmare he'd cook me something special, although, with how often my nightmares have been getting recently, he's always the one cooking. I can't help but feel guilty about it. Though I do buy the groceries to make up for that!

"Uggghhh fiiine!"
I groan sarcastically but couldn't help but giggle to myself. Dragging myself to the table like a kid acting like my legs were suddenly twice as heavy. He laughs along with me, he always had such a beautiful smile, I'm so glad we're friends. I couldn't ask for anyone better.

"Right I hope you're ready for this! Close your eyes"
He speaks with a bright tone, holding a plate in this hands. I do as he says and close my eyes, hearing him walk towards me and place something down on the table in front of me. The sweet smells filling my nose.
"Readddyy? OPEN!"
I open my eyes and gasp at what I see, my stomach curled, I felt my body burn up despite feeling ice cold, swatting the plate away from me jumping out of my chair, stumbling back. The plate falls off the table and lands with a smash.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!"
I cry as tears fall down my face, my heart racing, pounding out of my chest as I stare as the splattered food. It was an eye, a fucking eyeball.
"IS THIS SOME KIND OF SICK JOKE YOU BASTARD"
I'm practically hyperventilating at this point, clutching my top on my chest, all until I hear Sam sniffle as if he were also crying, looking up at him, he had the most heartbroken look on his face, crouching down to clean up the mess.

"I thought you liked strawberry's and cream.. I, I thought they were your favourite.."
He sniffles once more, picking up the broken plate pieces.

"Wh-...what?"
I look back down at the food to see that the blood soaked eyeball had gone and it was now, in-fact, strawberries and cream.
"Sam I-"

"I remember you saying a little while ago that they were your favourite as a kid and that you hadn't had them in so long as no one made them look as pretty as your mother did.. I- I thought I did okay.."
He stands with the plate pieces heading to the bin, his head hanging low.
"I'm sorry if making them reminded you of your mothers passing."

"N-No Sam I- they were- it wasn't.. strawberries- I, I saw.. I-It was-"
He turns to look at me as I struggle with my words. I was so shaken I genuinely saw an eyeball, dripping with blood, it even moved, I swear it did!
"I saw.. I saw..it was an eyeball"
I fall to the floor bursting out in tears, instantly making Sam snap out of his sad state and rushing to my side, kneeling beside me on the floor.

"Wait what? Is the daydreaming back? Y/N are you okay??"
He spoke in such a worried tone, I felt awful. I ruined his food he tried so hard to present for me. Strawberries and cream may sound very basic but he was right, no one ever made it look as pretty as my mum did, and I'm sure he did an amazing job that I actually would've liked it.

"I- I don't know, it didn't feel like that. Y'know how I said with the daydreaming it's like I'm not the one controlling my body? It wasn't like that. I opened my eyes and I saw the eye from my dream, blood and all. I saw the pupil dilate and everything that's why I freaked. I'm so so sorry Sam!"
My tears fall harder as I slump into him, wrapping my arms around him.
He made a shushing sound as he smoothed the back of my head, stroking my hair as I sob into his neck.

"It's okay Y/N, it's okay..Hey, what do you say we skip breakfast and go for a walk? We can head to the store and grab a microwave meal for dinner later, no surprises, yeah?"
I lean back away from him, sniffling away as my nose became runny from all the crying.

"I'd like that"
He smiles and wipes away my tears, helping me stand to my feet.

"Let me clean this up then we'll go okay?"

"No no, please Sam, let me."
There was no way I was going to let him clean up the smashed food that I destroyed. He nodded and I got to work.

I got the cleaning done and we grabbed our wallets and a couple of bags and headed out the house. As we walked down the street I couldn't help but take a deep breath in. The weather was perfect. A lovely sunny day but with a cooling breeze so they heat wasn't too overpowering.

"Beautiful day isn't huh"
Sam says looking over at me as we walk side by side. His brown fluffy hair gently swaying in the breeze.

"It Sure is"
I say with a smile, he gives me a nudge with his arm.

"And so are y-"
Sam went to speak but all sound was faded out as I locked eyes with someone walking towards us. He walked by me and looked down at me, his serious, stern expression turning to a smirk as he noticed me looking at him. I couldn't help but feel flustered. But, I also felt a bit strange, like he was familiar some how. It was almost a sinking feeling. But I definitely don't think I've seen him before. 'Is it possible for someone to be so attractive they they seem familiar? No.. surely not. And what's with the other feeling? Someone so attractive they're intimidating? Nah that ain't it.'

"Y/N? Um, did you hear what I said?"
I'm snapped out of my thoughts by suddenly hearing Sam speak.

"Huh? I'm sorry what did you say?"

"Uh its uh nothing I didn't say anything"
He brushed off his comment. I know he obviously did say something and is now pretending he didn't, but I can't stop thinking about that guys face. 'Why do I feel like i recognised him?' ..
