Kenna's POV:

I remember her office and all the things that she did to me in there. The beatings that I got since I was two years old. You would think that people don't remember much of when they were two but that's not the case for me. I remember that when I turned two it was the moment that I was going to get beaten up for the rest of my life.

"You know the drill Kenna." Said the Mistress.

I did know the drill and that was the sad part. That's how I ended up in on my knees and without a shirt on. The reason I did not have a shirt on was because it would just get ruined and will stick to my body because of all the blood.

"My dear Kenna you will be getting 50 lashes for not feeding Tina on time." Said the Mistress and then she started.

The first lash is always the worse because you have to get used to the pain but by the end of it I was numb. While I wish to ever get lashed again, I would do it in a heartbeat if it mean that Tina or one of the younger kids would not suffer through this.

They should not go through this at such a young age. The pain was horrible yet familiar, it felt just like before. I didn't know that I would feel everything again if I drank the potion because if I knew that I would have never drank it.

Suddenly the memory changed, it changed to the first time I had to steal. There wasn't any food left at the orphanage and the clothes that I had on were the only ones that fitted.

That meant that I had to steal food and clothes. Which wasn't easy, the first time was horrible not only did I almost got caught but I broke my wrist.

I was kneeling down behind a big tree looking at the people in the park. So many of them were having a picnic on this beautiful day. It was a picture perfect day, the sun was shining bright and no clouds could be seen.

I had hope that the couple closest to the tree that I was hiding behind would leave their stuff so that I could steal their picnic basket. But how would I do that without getting notice was beyond me. Maybe if I run fast enough they won't see me or notice that I was even there.

As if they heard what I said the couple started getting up and left their stuff. They were heading towards the ice cream man. Thank goodness because that would give me enough time to get the basket and leave.

When they were halfway to the ice cream man I looked around to make sure that nobody was looking and headed towards the unattended picnic. I walked at a normal pace so that I would not look suspicious to the people around.

Thankfully nobody was looking at me or in my direction. Most of the people also went to get ice cream and others were invested in conversations. With that I took the basket and started heading in the direction that I came from as fast as I could.

I ran like my life depended on it and in a way it did. This is the only food that I will be eating in about two weeks. I was running until I was sure nobody from the park would be around, I was far away from the park.

Actually I was close to some stores, I guess it was a little department building with different kinds of stores. Maybe there will be a clothing store, I really hope so. So I started looking around until I found a clothes store. I looked at the clothes and found a few that could fit me, since the basket was big I put the clothes inside of it.

I manage to get two sets of clothes and decided that would be enough for now. If I take too much the people at the store will definitely notice. But now I needed to find a way to leave the store without triggering the alarms.

Then the memory changed, actually I saw a lot of different memories passing at the same time. I could identify some of them but the other I didn't even remember.

Suddenly I focused on one memory, it was when I was in high school. The popular girls were walking towards me with a look of determination on their faces. I knew what was coming, they lived to make fun of me but I wouldn't have it.

"Well... well if it isn't Kenna the orphan." Said the leader. I grimaced, her voice was so squeaky that it hurt my ears.

"What's with that face?" Asked another one but I didn't answer. I didn't see what answering them would get me. The only thing that it would do is make the situation worse.

"Listen Kenna where is our homework? We need to give it to the teacher." Said the leader. I remembered that they had given me their homework so that I would do it but I didn't. Why would I do someone else homework when I already have mine to do.

"Why would I have your homework?" I asked them and raised an eyebrow at them.

"What do you mean? We gave them to you! I specifically told you to have them done for today!" Exclaimed the leader.

"Listen I'm not your secretary or assistant to do things for you. I was very clear that I will not do it. I don't care who you are and what you want me to do. Just cause you are popular doesn't mean you get to boss people around like that!" I said to her and glared.

"Fine you didn't do our homework then we will have to teach you a lesson." She said with a smirk.
