Hurt.. 💔

Context: Carlos died during Audrey's rampage...The VK's held a funeral for the boy which caused Mal to ask Belle to postpone the engagement party. Infront of everyone else, Mal didn't cry at all at the funeral or after Carlos's funeral but when she was alone she wanted to let it out so bad but she kept it together so it wouldn't come out unexpectedly cause she didn't wanna seem weak since she couldn't protect her friends like she promised. Mal had a full on meltdown on Audrey cause she kept trying to apologize and ended up punching her in the nose after getting frustrated with the girl. So now Mal is sitting in her and Evie's dorm as Evie is trying to get an answer out of her best friend.

Mal sits at the front of her bed with her arms crossed as tears threaten to fall "Mal I know that Carlos's death has been hard on us all but that isn't an excuse for punching Audrey in the nose or explain why you blew up at her..!" Evie scolded "I...Evie..I know that Los's death isn't an excuse for any of my behavior..But..." Mal replies as her voice cracks finally starting to let out all of those tears "I failed him E..I was supposed to protect him...I was supposed to protect all three of you! But I failed..Again.." Mal cried as the tears flowed out "M..Hey..I get it and you didn't fail anyone. You didn't fail Carlos, you didn't fail us, you didn't fail Ben, and you didn't fail me..! You protect us when you can and we protect you when we can..that's how it's always been..it's always been us four.." Evie says sympathetically "You need to give yourself time to grieve just like how me and jay have.." Evie advises before pulling her sister into a hug as she soon hears Mal sob into her shirt letting it all out for the first time in two weeks..

Mal finally let out all that hurt and anger she had been holding in for so long..She just needed someone who would listen and talk her through it...That person is Evie..Mal would do anything to protect her family especially Evie and when she couldn't protect her family that was her breaking point which caused her to have a meltdown..

(A/N: This is if Carlos died from one of Audrey's spells when she was Evil and the barrier didn't get taken down cause of the funeral since Mal asked Belle to postpone the engagement party. This will also be posted in Random descendants one shots.)
